We had such a lovely Summer BBQ here on Friday with our residents, families and friends all coming together for a great afternoon in the garden ☀️💜

We were also joined by the Deputy Mayor of Bexley and his consort, who spent time chatting with everyone and enjoying the entertainment alongside us. Mindi and Ian set the perfect tone with their brilliant music, and it really helped bring that easy, relaxed summer feeling to the day 🎶

A huge thank you to our activity team, kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance, reception and care teams for working so hard behind the scenes to make everything run smoothly. We were also visited by Bexley Council on the day, who spent time meeting families and joining in with the celebrations. It truly felt like one big family 💜

As summer comes to an end, we’re looking back at some of our August highlights across Gold Care Homes ☀️💜

With plenty of summer sunshine, our homes found ways to enjoy the summer while keeping cool, with ice creams and ice cream van visits proving particularly popular! 🍦

We also put the kettle on for Afternoon Tea Week, enjoyed some well-earned downtime for National Relaxation Day and made the most of the Summer Bank Holiday.

Thursday was a lovely day for a little garden centre adventure, as our residents headed out to visit two of our favourites 💜

We started the morning at Ruxley Manor Garden Centre , taking our time looking around the aquariums and enjoying the beautiful flowers and gardens. After a little café stop, we headed on to Polhill Garden Centre for more wandering, browsing and enjoying everything the garden centre had to offer 🌺🐠

It was a lovely day out with plenty to see, lots of chats along the way, and some good company to enjoy it all with 😊

July saw us celebrating a few of our favourite dates in the calendar, alongside all the everyday moments that make each month special 💜

We marked World Chocolate Day with a few well deserved treats, celebrated National Ice Cream Day with everyone's favourite flavours, and during , we took the opportunity to recognise our wonderful teams who make such a difference every day 🍦🍫

Alongside the celebrations, there were all the little moments that make each month what it is, catching up with friends, enjoying favourite activities and making the most of the summer days.

The sunshine has certainly been putting smiles on faces at Baugh House Care Centre 🌞

Our wonderful residents have been making the most of the lovely weather, spending time out in the garden, enjoying the fresh air and soaking up a little sunshine. Sometimes it's the simplest moments that bring the biggest smiles, and we've loved seeing everyone making the most of these beautiful summer days 💜

Last Thursday at Baugh House Care Centre we enjoyed a lovely afternoon at Eagle Heights Wildlife Foundation , and it was every bit as wonderful as we remembered 🦅☀️💜

With the sun shining, the animals were out enjoying the beautiful weather too, making it the perfect day to explore. The team at Eagle Heights gave us such a warm welcome, and we couldn't resist stopping for one of their delicious cream teas before heading home.

It was a fantastic day out, full of lovely memories, good company and plenty to see💜

We enjoyed a lovely day out last week with a trip to Ruxley Manor Garden Centre 💜

Our residents took their time wandering through the colourful flowers, stopping here and there to take it all in before heading inside to explore the gift shop and aquarium. There was plenty to see, and even more to chat about along the way 😊

With the sunshine joining us too, it made the whole day feel that little bit extra special. A simple outing, but one that everyone really enjoyed 🌼
