This week is a loneliness awareness week. Did you know that not only do we offer a warm welcome and a cuppa at Connecting Well every Wednesday morning 9.30- midday in the Community Hub , Riverside Precinct, but we have a wealth of information and resources on other different local organisations and groups

During a Renew session guests are invited to join in the optional led prayer time where one of the hosts will lead a short time of prayer and meditation - this could be at the beginning, middle or end of the session and is usually held in a separate room or in a sectioned off area in the social space.

It’s volunteers week this week, so we want to celebrate and thank all our volunteer hosts at Connecting Well, part of the Renew Wellbeing network, who are always available for a chat, a cuppa or to join you in a board game, craft activity or a jigsaw.

Here at Connecting Well, we’re taking part in A Million Acts of Hope week. A Million Acts of Hope is a national invitation to celebrate the everyday acts of kindness, care and connection happening across the UK. At a time when division can feel loud, we want to bring together all these everyday acts of hope and shine a light on the people and communities making them happen. The A Million Acts of Hope Week of Action will take place 13-20 May. Pop in to Connecting Well to find out more and see how you can take part

Apparently it’s National Scrabble Day. Who knew that was a thing? We enjoy a good game of scrabble at our Wednesday Connecting Well group, as well as other activities. A great way to connect with others

At Connecting Well tomorrow, in addition to our usual activities which include a shared jigsaw, games and the obligatory cuppa, you can have a go at creating a simple spring painting using cotton buds.
