❤️ More Than a Leisure Centre. A Hub for Our Community.

Back in March, I asked our B37 community a simple question:

“How can North Solihull Sports Centre do more to support our community?”

The response was incredible. That post has now been viewed over 28,000 times...and what followed has been truly amazing.

Since then, we've completed 32 community projects, reaching and supporting 7,000+ people through our work.

We've supported local schools, charities, Scout & Beaver groups, care homes, community organisations and local causes, delivering everything from water safety education and free activities, to sports days, fundraising, community events and much more.

A huge thank you to every organisation, group, charity, volunteer, parent and individual who has welcomed us and given us the opportunity to make a difference.

But we're not slowing down.

We want North Solihull Sports Centre to be more than somewhere you come to swim, exercise or play sport. We want to be a place where our community can come together, connect, learn, get active and find support.

We want to be a true hub for the community we serve.

So if you're a school, charity, community group, organisation or local cause, or you know someone who could benefit from our support...comment below and let us know how we can help.

Please also share this video with anyone you think we could support.

🧸 Super Sensory Seekers 🧸

A massive thank you to North Solihull Sports Centre for giving us soft play for free! Our families absolutely love soft play here.

More dates will be posted shortly for our upcoming dates.

Are you or your child neurodivergent (No diagnosis needed)? Is your child between the age of 0 and 5 years? Our soft play sessions allow your child to explore the environment with no pressure and allows you to get support and have a chat with other parents. We keep it to a maximum of 10 children to keep the sessions as neurodivergent friendly as possible.

Comment below if you are interested! Join Super Sen CIC group if you are a parent or neurodivergent individual and you will be able to see our upcoming dates!

I cannot wait for this! Please feel free to pop along. It’s very new so everyone will be feeling equally as anxious/excited.

Frankie and Zoe have worked so so hard to get the group to where it is and they’ve not stopped advertising.

We can’t wait to see some of you there 🫶

Our next NeuroZestySuperSENCIC session will be Thursday 24th September 2026 and we’d LOVE to see you there!

Please feel free to message NeuroZestySuperSENCIC for any questions regarding neurozesty or anything to do with LGBTQ+ and Zoe and Frankie will be more than happy to help 😊

When I got told I could volunteer at Super Sen CIC 2 years ago, I didn’t ever think I’d be dressed as a dinosaur but here I am 😂

To see the kids so happy to meet a dinosaur was so cute.

I love my job 🫶

One thing I hear a lot is:

“There weren’t all these labels back in my day.”

But neurodivergent people have always existed. We’re not a new species sent from space.

Back in the day, many people weren’t understood. They were labelled as naughty, lazy, shy, disruptive, attention-seeking and easily distracted. Other neurodivergent people learnt to hide who they really were in order to fit in.

If you don’t give children the words to understand why their brains work differently, they’ll often fill in the blanks themselves. Their brains will say:

“I’m lazy.”

“I’m just attention-seeking.”

“I’m not trying hard enough.”

“I’m worthless.”

“The world would be better off without me.”

I know this because that’s exactly what I did.

Understanding my brain helped me break free from the box I’d been put in. My diagnosis helped me realise those labels were never true. They were never who I was.

I was always more than those labels.

That’s why words matter.

If you ever believed those words about yourself, I hope that one day you discover that you are so much more than the labels you’ve carried.
