So many of the most meaningful changes happen long before they show up in a photograph or on the scales.

What if you’re making more progress than you realise? 💜

We’re very good at looking for the obvious signs of progress.
The number on the scales.
The weight on the dumbbell.
The size of our clothes.
The reflection in the mirror.
But some of the most important changes are much quieter.

It’s getting out of a chair without thinking about it.
Realising the stairs don’t leave you as breathless anymore.
Noticing that the ache that used to greet you every morning isn’t quite so loud.
Catching yourself when you stumble.
Having enough energy left at the end of the day to actually enjoy your evening.
Saying yes to something you might once have avoided.
Or simply beginning to trust your body a little more.
That is progress too.

Your health isn't just a collection of numbers. It’s reflected in what your body allows you to do, experience and enjoy.
And sometimes change happens so gradually that we don’t notice it while it’s happening.

So every now and then, look backwards.
Not to judge where you were — but to recognise how far you’ve come.

Ask yourself:
“What can I do today that once felt harder?”
You might be surprised by the answer. 💜

Every win counts. Even the ones nobody else can see.

DON'T UNDERESTIMATE THE SMALL STUFF.

🚶 One walk.
🥙 One balanced meal.
⏱️Ten minutes of movement.
💤 An earlier night.
🥤One more glass of water.

None of these will transform your health overnight.
But neither is that the goal.

Keep stacking the small choices.
That's where change begins.

🌞 Hot Days Call for Cool Hydration! 💧

Summer heat is no joke — and neither is dehydration! Whether you're out adventuring, working, or just soaking up the sun, staying hydrated is essential for your health and well-being. 🥵➡️💦

Here’s why water is your best summer buddy:

✅ Regulates body temperature — Helps you keep cool and avoid heat exhaustion.
✅ Supports energy levels — Dehydration = fatigue and brain fog. No thanks!
✅ Keeps skin glowing — Hydrated skin = happy skin.
✅ Protects your heart & kidneys — Especially important in extreme heat.

👉 Tips to stay hydrated:

Aim for 8–10 glasses a day — more if you're sweating a lot 💦

Carry a refillable water bottle with you — always!

Add slices of lemon, cucumber, or mint to make it tasty 🍋🥒🌿

Eat water-rich foods like watermelon, cucumbers, oranges, and strawberries 🍉🍓

⚠️ Watch out for signs of dehydration: dry mouth, dizziness, dark urine, headaches — if you feel off, reach for water!
For example losing just 1%-3% of body weight from water loss impairs mood, concentration, memory and overall brain function ( Armstrong et Al., 2012; Cian et Al.,2001 )

Hardly surprising when water is the most abundant molecule in the body and is essential to the function of every organ system.

Water contents in ...
💧 Skin - 64%
💧 Muscles & Kidneys - 79%
💧 Brain & Heart - 73%
💧 Lungs - 83%
💧 Bones - 31%

💙 Stay safe, cool, and hydrated — your body will thank you.

💪 Muscle Is Your Health Insurance

What if the best health insurance policy wasn't something you paid for each month...
But something you built yourself?

🔐 Every time you strength train, go for a walk, prioritise protein, or challenge your body to move, you're investing in a healthier future.

Because muscle isn't just about looking strong.
It's about staying strong 🏋️‍♂️

⚠️ As we age, we naturally lose muscle mass and strength through a process called sarcopenia.
Left unchecked, this can lead to reduced mobility, increased risk of falls, slower recovery from illness, loss of independence, and a lower quality of life.

But here's the encouraging part:
✨ Muscle is one of the few things we can build and maintain at almost any age, it's remarkably adaptive.
💫 Whether you're 35, 55 or 75, your body can adapt and become stronger when given the right stimulus.
💚 In fact, regular strength training is one of the most effective ways to age well, helping us stay active, capable and confident for longer.

Want to protect your future self?
✔️ Strength train 2-3 times per week
✔️ Eat enough protein throughout the day
✔️ Stay active beyond your workouts
✔️ Prioritise sleep and recovery
✔️ Keep challenging your body to move

🥅 The goal isn't just to live longer.
It's to be able to do the things you love for longer.
▶️ To carry the shopping without struggling.
▶️ To get up from the floor with ease.
▶️ To keep up with your children and grandchildren.
▶️ To remain independent, capable and full of life.

💪 Muscle is more than a fitness goal. It's your health insurance policy for the future.

Start investing today. Your future self is counting on it. 💜

Do you know what’s actually happening in your body during perimenopause/menopause… and how much control you still have over it?

▶️ Do you know that Strength Training during this stage of life is a major win?!

This phase isn’t just about hormones shifting — it’s about what your body starts to lose if we don’t actively support it.

⚠️ As estrogen declines, two major things begin to happen quietly in the background:
Bone density starts to decrease (increasing the risk of osteoporosis)
Muscle mass gradually declines (a process known as sarcopenia)
These changes don’t happen overnight — but over time, they can impact everything from strength and energy to balance, mobility, and long-term independence.

✋This is where strength training becomes one of the most powerful tools you have.
Not for aesthetics.
For protection.
For longevity & quality of life.

When you strength train, you’re sending a clear signal to your body to hold on to what matters.
💪 Helping to maintain and build muscle, slowing down and even reversing aspects of sarcopenia
🦴 Stimulating bone tissue, supporting bone density and reducing osteoporosis risk
✅ Improving joint stability and reduces injury risk
⚖️ Enhancing balance and coordination, helping to prevent falls
✅ Supporting metabolic health, including blood sugar regulation and energy levels
🧎‍♀️ Contributing to better posture, movement, and everyday function.

And these aren’t just “nice to have” benefits.
🔑 They are the foundations of staying strong, capable, and independent as we age.

Strength isn’t just about lifting weights in the gym.
It’s about being able to move through your life with confidence.
▶️ Getting up from the floor.
▶️ Carrying your shopping.
▶️ Protecting your bones.
▶️ Supporting your future self.

🪟 Perimenopause is a window of opportunity — a time where the choices you make now can directly influence how your body feels and functions for decades to come.

❓So the question becomes less about “Should I strength train?”
And more about:
Why wouldn’t you?

Perimenopause is not the beginning of decline — it’s an invitation to train differently, think differently, and invest in a body that will support you long-term.
