I often hear people reduce the sacral chakra to just sexuality - but it’s so much more. It’s the seat of feeling, creativity and connection. When it’s blocked, you might feel numb, stuck, or guilty about pleasure. When it’s supported, emotions flow and creative energy returns.

Try this simple practice: breathe into your lower belly for five slow breaths, say softly, “I feel openly and freely,” then move gently - dance, sway or stretch. Small acts like this invite emotional safety and creative flow.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, or live with sensory differences, trauma-aware approaches like somatic work, hypnotherapy and gentle Reiki can help you reconnect at your own pace. I offer personalised sessions that combine these modalities to support nervous-system regulation and long-term inner change.

Your sacral chakra is often misunderstood as being only about sexuality. In truth, it governs much more — your ability to feel life deeply. This energy centre influences creativity, pleasure, emotional safety, connection, joy, and flow. When it becomes blocked or imbalanced, you might experience e...

I used to fight my anxiety until I learned to listen. When I began treating anxious thoughts as protectors - parts trying to keep me safe - everything shifted. Try this gentle practice next time anxiety rises:

• Pause and breathe.
• Say quietly: “Thank you for trying to protect me. Nothing dangerous is happening right now.”
• Ask the part what it needs, then offer calm reassurance.

Over time, this curious, compassionate approach helps the nervous system settle and builds inner trust. If you’re tired of battling your mind, explore trauma‑aware hypnotherapy and nervous‑system tools that meet you where you are. Save this post for a gentle reminder - and share it with someone who might need it today.

Anxiety often feels like an enemy within, a relentless force that drags you into spirals of worry and fear. But what if anxiety is not truly “you”? What if it is a part of you trying to protect you in its own way? This shift in perspective can change how you relate to anxious thoughts and feelin...

Anxiety is not always “you”. Sometimes it’s just a protective part of you trying to keep you safe.

One of the simplest tools I teach in hypnotherapy and Internal Family Systems inspired work is to stop fighting the anxious thoughts and start getting curious about them instead.

What if that anxious part of you had a personality? A name. A voice. A reason for showing up.

Instead of spiralling with it, try this:

“Thank you for trying to protect me. But nothing dangerous is happening right now.”

Then repeat it again. And again. And again.

This gently brings your nervous system back into the present moment instead of into imagined future scenarios. Over time, that anxious part begins to realise it does not need to stay on high alert all the time.

Healing is not about battling yourself. It is about building safety and trust within yourself.

If this resonated with you, save this reel for the next time anxiety shows up and share it with someone who needs this reminder today.

Follow for grounded hypnotherapy, nervous system support and practical wellbeing tools that actually help.

Okay I don't really wear tin foil hats but I want the genuinely weird wellness tips that sound slightly unhinged but somehow work brilliantly for your nervous system.

Not the usual “drink more water” advice.
I mean the oddly specific things that help you regulate, ground, reset or feel human again.

Things like: • Standing barefoot outside All grounding using copper coils when everything feels too loud • Shaking your whole body like an anxious woodland creature • Talking to your plants, your cells, your food, your water • Lying on the floor dramatically until your nervous system calms down narrating your situation like a David Attenborough documentary• Holding ice cubes or using sensory stimulation during anxiety • Sniffing/ applying/ using specific essential oils like your life depends on it • weirdly specific blends of herbal tea • Carrying crystals in your bra/ pocket

As a hypnotherapist and holistic practitioner, I genuinely love hearing the strange little things people discover that help them feel safe, grounded and connected again.

Nervous system regulation is deeply personal and sometimes the unconventional tools are the ones that work best.

So tell me your most unhinged wellness tip in the comments. I absolutely want to hear it.

And if you’re looking for support with anxiety, overwhelm, emotional healing or nervous system regulation, send me a message to find out more about hypnotherapy, Reiki and holistic healing sessions.

I know how overwhelming anxiety can feel - like your thoughts are miles ahead while your body stays behind. Today I’m sharing simple grounding tools I use with clients to bring you back to the present: five-senses grounding, slow conscious breaths (six deep inhales and full exhales), and gentle mindful movement.

These techniques aren’t about forcing the feeling away; they give your nervous system a safe place to rest. If anxiety has been holding you back, hypnotherapy paired with somatic work, Reiki or gentle complementary therapies can support deeper healing at your own pace.

Want to try one now? Pause, name five things you can see, feel your feet on the ground, and take six slow breaths. Tell me what you noticed - I’d love to hear how it helped.

Sometimes healing isn’t about becoming someone new.
Sometimes it’s about clearing enough internal noise to finally feel yourself again.

This short hypnotic guided meditation is designed to help calm overwhelm, create inner space and gently bring your awareness back into the present moment through breath, visualisation and sensory grounding.

When we spend too much time in stress, anxiety or overthinking, the nervous system can become stuck in survival mode. Practices like hypnosis, mindfulness and somatic awareness help interrupt that cycle and reconnect the mind and body to safety, calm and regulation.

Save this reel for the moments you feel overstimulated, emotionally heavy or disconnected from yourself.

And if you’d like deeper support through hypnotherapy, Reiki, nervous system work or holistic healing sessions, send me a message to book or ask questions.

Heart Chakra Reiki Healing Transmission for emotional healing, self-love, compassion, nervous system regulation and energetic balance.

The heart chakra, or Anahata, is the energy centre connected to love, connection, trust, grief, forgiveness and emotional openness. When blocked or overwhelmed, we can feel disconnected, guarded, anxious, emotionally numb or stuck in cycles of hurt and overthinking.

This Reiki transmission is designed to help soften emotional armour, calm the nervous system and invite more flow, peace and heart-centred awareness back into the body and energy field.

As you watch, allow yourself to slow down. Breathe deeply. Notice sensations in your chest, shoulders, breath and body. You may feel warmth, tingling, emotion, relaxation, heaviness releasing or a deep sense of calm.

Simply receive whatever your system needs.

To receive the Reiki: Find a quiet comfortable space if possible. Take a few slow breaths. Stay hydrated afterwards and notice how your mind, body and emotions respond over the next 24 hours.

If you would like to work with me one-to-one, I offer:

Hypnotherapy (in person or over video call)
Reiki Healing
Distance Reiki
Access Bars
Cacao Ceremony
Past Life Regression

Anxiety can make it feel like your mind is racing miles ahead of your body.

One of the most important things we can do during anxious moments is gently reconnect to the present moment through the senses, the breath and the body.

These are simple grounding techniques I’ve been teaching my daughter recently while she’s been struggling with anxiety and they’re also tools I use within hypnotherapy, somatic work and nervous system regulation with clients.

The brain cannot stay fully locked into anxious future thinking while simultaneously deeply focusing on sensory information in the present moment.

That’s why grounding techniques work.

You are not trying to “stop” anxiety by force. You are giving the nervous system another place to land.

Try these: 5 things you can see 5 things you can feel 5 things you can hear

Or slow down and follow six conscious breaths all the way in and all the way out.

Or reconnect to your body through movement and sensation.

Small things genuinely can help.

If anxiety has been keeping you stuck and you’d like deeper support through hypnotherapy, somatic approaches, Reiki or holistic therapy, send me a message or book through my website.

Save this reel for later and share it with someone who might need it today.

I’ve learned that emotions aren’t only in the head - they live in the body. That tightness in your chest, the knot in your stomach or the clench in your jaw are real messages your nervous system is sending. I combine somatic practices with trauma-aware hypnotherapy, Reiki and gentle nervous-system work to help the body feel safe enough to release what it’s been holding.

If you’re feeling anxious, burned out or overwhelmed, you don’t have to only talk your way through it. Small breath practices, grounding and gentle movement can shift the physical holding so deeper healing can follow. If you’d like 1:1 support tailored to your needs (especially if you’re neurodivergent or living in chronic fight-or-flight), I’m here to help - let’s explore this together.

Have you noticed where you hold stress in your body? Share below - gentle responses welcome.

Emotions are often thought of as something that happens only in the brain. We tend to believe that feelings are just thoughts or mental states. But this is far from the whole truth. Emotions are physical experiences that unfold throughout the entire body. This explains why anxiety can tighten your c...
