😎Summer beach schools information 😎

Dates for Summer Beach schools will be released 4th July. This is due to me only being able to see tide times a month in advance.

There will be no sessions running on the first week of the summer holidays as the tides are poor that week.
We will be running 2 sessions during both weeks 2 and 3.

Further dates for the remainder of the school holidays will be released end of July. Hope this helps everyone 😉

You might have heard the news - the Antiques Roadshow is coming to Souter!

On Friday 3 July, the Lighthouse Café will be closed to the public for event setup. On Saturday 4 July, the Lighthouse will be closed, and the Café will only be open to Antiques Roadshow ticket holders. 🎫

The beautiful ringed plovers. We were so pleased we spotted them today. Love how they just blend in to their environment 👌

Fantastic afternoon on Jackies Beach rockpooling with Year 4 Marsden Primary School today.

We found some amazing creatures....a sea hare, beadlet sea anemones, velvet swimming crab, shore crabs and one edible crab and the entertaining hermit crabs 🦀 😊
We also spotted a rockling, a butter fish and one other (which was too fast for us) 🤣

Behaviour was exemplary and the care they showed to the environment and each other on this session was a pleasure to see 👌

We even spotted the ringed plovers playing on the shore with their chick....we all stood so quiet and watched from a far 😍

I was on the beach yesterday with a class of Y4 East Boldon Junior School children and they happened to unearth what looked to be very suspect 😳
Thanks to these guys for their time and patience 🙏
