Chakra is a spinning wheel of energy that runs up the spine to the top of the head. Concepts of the seven chakras came to the western world in the 1880s from ta***ic yoga traditions and are increasingly studied and practiced due to their extensive benefits. The Chakra system originated in India between 1500 and 500 BCE. The Vedas is the first text to introduce the seven chakras.
We will be keeping poses simple, slow, and low for week one. Moving our body gently using the rhythm of our breath.
Colour breathing
“I am safe, centred and grounded” as our mantra this week.
