🌿✨ Bridging the Gap Between Spirituality and Healthcare ✨🌿
From someone who’s worked in the UK healthcare system for over 20 years… I need to say this loud and clear:

💥 It’s not that healthcare staff lack empathy – it’s that the system doesn’t allow them to show it. 💥

There’s a lot of talk lately about empathy training, compassion workshops, and how to “teach” healthcare workers to care more. But this narrative really frustrates me.

In my experience, most frontline staff are already deeply empathic. They care more than we realise. But when there aren’t enough beds, not enough staff, no time for breaks, constant pressure to perform—it becomes impossible to sustain that level of emotional connection.

🧠 What we often call “empathy fatigue” is actually a coping mechanism. A way to survive. To get through another shift. To keep going when you’re running on empty.

🔥 And yet, instead of changing the broken system, we put the blame on the individual. We tell them they need to do better, be kinder, care more. It’s not fair, and it’s not right.

💫 What if instead, we started supporting the empathic staff we already have?
💫 What if we brought in holistic tools—like mindfulness, energy healing, breathwork, even spiritual practices—to help them process and recover?
💫 What if we restructured the system so that empathy wasn’t a burden, but a strength?

This is exactly what I explore in my book Solar Plexus Nation: An Energy Story of Burning Out and Waking Up in Healthcare. It’s about my journey as an empath in a system that didn’t know how to support people like me—and what I learned about healing, energy, and what’s really needed to care for the carers.

🌱 If we want a healthcare system that heals, we have to heal the system first.
Let’s stop blaming staff and start changing the structures.

We need something deeper than training. We need transformation.

Feeling into the primrose energy today!
