I’ve been a little quiet on here lately… but I wasn’t hiding.
I was creating.
Planning.
Learning.
Testing.
Proofing.
And making sure that what I build is something truly valuable.
I wanted to create a bulletproof plan that genuinely helps women navigate this stage of our lives — physically, mentally and emotionally.
Most importantly, I wanted to do it as a real woman.
No filters.
No tricks.
No pretending.
Just the real me.
Because if I was going to help other women through this stage of life, I needed to live it, learn it and understand it first.
And that journey has led me here…
This summer I turn 50.
And honestly, I’ve never felt stronger, more confident or more comfortable in my own skin.
But the journey here wasn’t straightforward.
As a Personal Trainer, I found the changes that came with perimenopause incredibly difficult. My body was changing despite doing all the things that had always worked before.
There was anxiety.
There was frustration.
And if I’m honest, there was shame too.
As someone whose career is built around health and fitness, I struggled with my body changing in ways I didn’t understand or feel I could control.
But instead of giving up, I decided to learn.
I immersed myself in understanding hormones, perimenopause and body recomposition in midlife. Then I became my own case study and put myself through a programme I designed specifically for this stage of life.
I changed how I trained.
I changed how I ate.
I changed how I recovered.
I changed how I lived.
Slowly, my body changed.
But more importantly, my mindset changed.
I stopped chasing the body I had in my 30s and started building the body I needed for my 50s.
A body that is strong.
A body that carries me through life.
A body that allows me to be the independent mum I want to be for my 10 and 12-year-old children.
Because I don’t want to sit on the sidelines of my own life.
I want to be in the photos.
I want to make memories.
I want to say yes to adventures.
I want energy for the moments that matter.
And now I want other women to know this:
You do not have to accept feeling self-conscious, sad or disconnected from yourself.
You are not destined to lose your confidence along with your hormones.
You can feel strong again.
You can change your body composition.
You can regain your confidence.
You can get back in the photos.
Not by fighting your body, but by learning how to work with it.
I’ve lived this journey myself, and now I help other women navigate it too.
No filters.
No tricks.
No pretending.
Just real life, real experience and real strategies that work in the real world.
Because midlife isn’t the end of feeling like yourself.
Sometimes it’s the beginning of becoming the strongest version of yourself yet.
And as I approach 50 this summer, I can honestly say…
I’m not trying to get my old body back.
I’m building the strongest version of me yet. ❤️💪
