Join us on Thursday, the 7th of May, for the third lecture of our 2026 Obsessive-Compulsive and Related Disorders lecture series!
This lecture explores hoarding disorder beyond common misconceptions, examining its clinical features, underlying mechanisms, and lived experience. Bringing together clinical, research, and lived-experience perspectives, the session will consider how hoarding disorder is understood, assessed, and treated, and the challenges faced by those affected.
Speakers:
- Prof Sharon Morein-Zamir (Anglia Ruskin University): Professor of Cognition and Mental Health researching compulsivity and hoarding disorder.
- Stuart Brown (Cambridgeshire County Council): Adult Early Help Manager with frontline experience supporting hoarding behaviours.
- Kat Band (Hoarding Disorders UK CIC): Specialist practitioner in hoarding and chronic disorganisation.
- Kathy Jones (CPFT Wellbeing Hub): Peer trainer with lived experience of hoarding and recovery.
The lecture will include audience discussion and Q&A, followed by a complimentary drinks and dinner reception, offering an opportunity for informal conversation with speakers and attendees.
