STOP. TAKE A BREATH.

Today's daily challenge is all about taking a moment or two to simply breathe.

Breathing - essential. Something we often take for granted, and overlook just how much of an impact it can have!

Some of the benefits of practicing regular breathwork:

DAILY CHALLENGE 2

Being fit and healthy shouldn't be a chore, nor should it seem like it's impossible. The aim is to have small daily habits that are achieveable, and add up over time.

One of the key strategies that really helped me when I was figuring things out was the OPTIMAL VS NON-NEGOTIABLE method.

Pick 2 - 5 areas of your life which you feel could do with some improvement.

Set an optimal goal (say walking 10,000 steps, or reading 10 pages of a book) This is what you really want to achieve.

Then, set a non-negotiable limit (say 5,000 steps, or reading 5 pages of a book). This is what you know you can achieve, but should be that little bit more taxing than your current day.

For added effect, write these down, and popc them somewhere you can see every day. Maybe have a way to tick them off too!

A MINI CHALLENGE, EVERY DAY IN JUNE

Each day a small challenge will be uploaded for both adults and children/young people to take part in, in their own time.

These challenges:

- could focus on movement or mindset
- will take between 5 - 20 mins (on average) to complete
- can be adapted for all ages and abilities
- can completed individually, as a family, or as a group

It can be difficult day to day to carve even a small amount of time out of our days to look after even part of our health.

Studies have shown that taking part in daily/weekly/monthly challenges can increase motivation, confidence and self esteem, whilst joining a community who are completing together can decrease isolation, loneliness and improve social connection!

Thank you to those that participated in the recent poll regarding what I am liking to think of as an uplift in Yes You Can's branding.

All feedback on logo, colours and cover photo more than welcome! The website will reflect these changes too soon!

Let's be fair, I am no tech whizz, but then I also like to think of the branding as real and honest. Plain and simple. Raw.
