⚽Scotland's matchday in the World Cup is nearly here! Good luck Scotland against our first match against Haiti tonight (well, early hours of this morning).

After waiting 28 years it might feel like the pressure is on, and that 2am kick off certainly won't help! 😩

Make sure you are match fit:
- if you're drinking alcohol, pace yourself and consider swapping in water or non-alcoholic versions in some rounds.
- practice breathing exercises if the nerves are high and the action on the pitch gets a bit much.
- make sure you catch up on your sleep if you're staying up to watch the match.

c'mon Scotland! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Did you know we publish estimated waiting times for all specialties on our website? Simply head to www.nhsgrampian.org/waitingtimes to find out more.

It’s important to understand you could be offered an appointment anywhere in Grampian, so you may be asked to travel for treatment. We follow the NHS Scotland waiting times guidance, which you can read here: https://www.gov.scot/publications/nhsscotland-waiting-times-guidance-november-2023/pages/1/

We are committed to applying Realistic Medicine principles to the delivery of healthcare, which means health professionals are expected to understand what matters to you, treat you as an equal partner in your care, share treatment decisions with you and support you to make informed choices.

We’d encourage anyone on a waiting list to read the information linked in this post to understand more and to contact the relevant department with any specific questions about their care.

REMINDER: Our hospital sites are extremely busy, with vehicles moving at all times. For everyone’s safety, please only park in designated spaces.

🚫 Do not park on double yellow lines or hatched areas.
🚫 Do not move or remove traffic cones.

We understand that emergencies happen and your priority is your loved one, but your cooperation helps keep the site safe and accessible for all.

There are occasional reports of the Foresterhill multi‑storey being “gridlocked”. At peak times — usually late afternoon — queues can form, but our site teams work quickly to clear them.

To help traffic flow, we ask all users to reverse park in the multi‑storey whenever possible.
