Real people delivering real care, supporting every resident with empathy, authenticity and respect in a safe, nurturing environment where dignity and choice come first. About Us...

Stow Healthcare is a family of care homes owned and managed by brother
and sister Roger Catchpole and Ruth French. Fittingly, a focus on ‘family’
drives the way we run our residential homes, nursing homes, and memory centres which are dedicated to dementia care. Our extended family includes our loyal band of managers, carers, nurses,
chefs, housekeepers and handy people, our residents, their relatives and our
professional healthcare partners across Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. This family
bond, the basis of high-quality care in characterful homes, has led to
our string of awards, including ‘Care Group of the Year’ in the National Care
Awards. What We Look For...

At Stow Healthcare we employ professional, dedicated and hard working members of staff who are committed to providing the best care possible through listening to and understanding the needs of our residents. The Catchpole Family started Stow Healthcare with a clear vision; to become the premier care home provider in East Anglia. Working For us...

As an employee of Stow Healthcare you will be offered career progression opportunities with training, development and promotion. We can support you to develop as a person and as a professional.

🚢 Cruise Month – what a journey! 🌍⚓

Throughout July, our homes set sail for a month packed with creativity, teamwork and some truly brilliant experiences for our residents.

What made the month so special was just how many of our teams got involved. Colleagues embraced the theme by dressing up, joining in with games and helping to bring each destination to life, while our chefs created some incredible cultural dishes and delicacies for residents to enjoy. 🌎🍴

We also saw some wonderful personal touches, with colleagues giving presentations about their home countries, sharing stories, traditions and insights that residents listened to with real fascination. It was such a lovely way to celebrate the different cultures within our Stow family and gave residents the chance to learn something new from the people around them every day.

Across the month, activities, catering, care, housekeeping and management teams all played their part, creating themed lunches, entertainment, music, crafts, pamper days and plenty of opportunities to come together and have fun.

A huge thank you to everyone who embraced the theme, shared a little of themselves and helped make Cruise Month such a memorable experience for our residents. 💙

We may be back on dry land now, but July certainly gave us plenty of moments worth remembering! ⚓🛳️

On Thursday 30th July, Magnolia Park Care Home marked the completion of its refurbishment with an open day, giving the local community and professional contacts the chance to see the home as it is now. The afternoon was a genuine showcase of what modern care with Stow looks like and the team at Magnolia Park were the best possible advertisement for it.

The Mayor of Ramsey opened the day with a ribbon cutting and has since written publicly about the visit, thanking Kay and the team for investing in Ramsey.

Bury Parish Council was represented by Vice Chair Richard and Councillor Graham, both of whom praised the welcome they received and described the standard of the facilities as "inspiring" but it's worth saying that the facilities only tell half the story. The warmth of the team and the environment they've created for residents every day is what visitors were responding to.

Well done to everyone at Magnolia Park Care Home. 👏

We are thrilled to announce that Stow Healthcare is now partnering with Tea from The Manor as our new designated tea supplier across our homes.

We are genuinely inspired by the story behind this incredible brand, and it was a privilege to recently visit founder James Green and see his business first-hand.

Tea From The Manor has been recognised as one of the UK’s finest tea producers, celebrated at the Caring UK Awards 2025 for its outstanding quality and innovation. What makes this partnership even more special is James’ own journey. After serving in the British Army across Northern Ireland, Hong Kong and Cyprus, James discovered his passion for tea while stationed in Hong Kong. In 2011, alongside his daughter, he brought that passion to life at a local farmers’ market, and Tea From The Manor has since grown into an award-winning UK brand, also recognised for its specialist blends supporting those living with dysphagia.

Yesterday, we were delighted to welcome James to our Stowlangtoft Orangery Relaunch event, where guests were able to enjoy refreshing iced teas and learn more about the story behind Tea From The Manor. It was wonderful for James to meet our residents, relatives and team members, and to see the partnership celebrated in such a special setting.

We are incredibly proud to support James, his team and his growing business, and we are excited to begin rolling out Tea From The Manor across our care homes this June.

We look forward to hearing feedback from our residents as they enjoy this exciting new addition.
