When our Caregiver Nicky heard her client was feeling a bit down, she decided to brighten lunchtime with a surprise. ❤️

On the menu? A seafood cocktail sandwich, followed by an apple turnover and watermelon. The sandwich went down so well that it was finished before Nicky could even take a photo! 😄

Such a lovely gesture and a perfect example of the personal relationships our Carers build with the people they support.

Flu can be particularly serious for older people and those with certain health conditions. Vaccination helps reduce the risk of serious illness.

In England, people aged 65 and over are among those eligible for a free NHS flu vaccination, alongside other eligible groups.

Who knew you could create something so beautiful with just leaves, flowers and a bit of sunshine? ☀️💙

Our Solihull Memory Café recently had a go at cyanotype printing, using natural materials and sunlight to create these beautiful blue-and-white designs.

Everyone got to choose their own flowers and leaves, arrange their designs and watch as the pictures appeared. Just look at the results! 🌿

It's just one example of the different activities happening at our Memory Cafés, alongside music, crafts, guest speakers and, of course, plenty of tea, biscuits and conversation.

We run four Memory Cafés across Solihull and Warwickshire, welcoming people living with dementia, their families, friends and carers. Whether you'd like to join in with an activity or simply enjoy some company, there's always a friendly face waiting to welcome you. 🧡

A lovely afternoon out for Caregiver Danielle and her client! ☀️

They headed out for a walk together, enjoying some fresh air and gentle exercise, with a few healthy snacks packed for along the way. 🥕🍎

They found a quiet spot to sit and have a good chat while taking in the surroundings, and even managed to time it perfectly and miss the rain!

Sometimes, a walk, some fresh air and good company is just what’s needed 🧡
