Hi everyone,

As we are starting to come out of Covid induced lockdown, the wonderful art of massage is free again to soothe those woes and lighten the soul.

I expect soon to be qualifying as a Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage Therapist, with training from the wonderful Rosalie Samet of the Hawaiian Massage UK Training Centre in Brighton.

The energizing and revitalizing effects of Lomi Lomi (or Huna) massage using coconut oil, brings inner peace, balance and wholeness. You have to try it to believe it.

You can be assured that there will be much more to come... maybe Hot Stone Massage, or Thai Stretch Massage next? 🧘‍♂️🧘‍♀️

Wonderful news after the Coronavirus lockdown - Massage Therapists will be able to start hands-on therapy on Monday 13th July 2020, including mobile therapists.

There will be extra risk assessments, PPE, disinfectant and other questions still to sort out, but my friends at Jing Advanced Massage Training are helping keeping us informed.

Soon we can all enjoy a relaxing massage again.

Hi everyone,

I was fortunate to have just attended a Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage Introductory Workshop in Brighton. The course tutor was Rosalie Samet of the Hawaiian Massage UK Training Centre. What a day that was.😁

Lomi Lomi massage is a graceful full body massage using flowing strokes, set to the rhythm of Hawaiian music that I've been wanting to learn for a long time. It uses the principal of 'Maximum Touch', the full flat of both hands and inner forearm sliding over the contours of the client. It promotes a deeply relaxing inner peace, balance and wholeness that transcends the stresses and strains of modern living.

I have already tested this out on a few fortunate clients using coconut oil. If you'd like to experience this, while I'm still learning - let me know for a 'freebie' Lomi Lomi session (takes about 1.5 hours). No doubt I'll be adding elements of Lomi Lomi massage into my massage repertoire, but if it proves to be popular I'll need to complete the full practitioner course, before I can offer this as a separate treatment.

The story so far….

I remember when I was a teenager, my mother enjoyed having her shoulders massaged and it started a lifelong interest in massage.

In adulthood I started my career in computer programming, and from time to time I would attend a short course in massage (or related subject) and would attend shows and events where massage was practised and workshops given. I bought a massage couch, towels, oils etc. and started practising on friends and family, a combination of Swedish Massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage and Holistic Massage.

In 2017 I started a professional massage course in the evenings at Guildford College and in 2018 qualified with VTCT Level 3 Swedish Body Massage certificate.
