Surf in the morning. Breathe in the afternoon. Relax all week.
Imagine waking up with the sound of the Atlantic Ocean outside your bedroom window in a peaceful village close to the stunning town of Essaouira, being immersed in the nature and the slow living pace of this beautiful part of Morocco (the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh is a far away dream)
You then attend a daily somatic yoga class in a beautiful sun-drenched Shala at the top of our retreat home and coming back to a lush Moroccan breakfast.
Days will be either spent learning to surf in beginner friendly waves or learning ancient Ayurvedic wisdom on living with the rhythms of the seasons and women’s health.
There will be plenty of time to rest, recharge and absorb the delights of what this beautiful country has to offer.
This is 7 days of slowing down, going inward, making lifelong friends and loving every minute!

🏄‍♀️ 3 days of beginner surf lessons in the gentle waves of Sidi Kaouki.
🧘‍♀️ Daily yoga practice in a cozy shala.
🌿 Ayurvedic teachings to nourish your body and mind.
🌾 An afternoon at a family-run permaculture farm, farm to plate.
🕌 Time exploring the UNESCO heritage city of Essaouira.
🏡 7 nights at our retreat home , 2 mins from the beach.
🍽️ 2 meals a day

Ever wondered what your constitution is and how to figure it out?
Do you want to understand what Ayurveda is, or why constitutions matter in diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of disease?

I’m offering a free one-hour session where we’ll explore the constitutions and give a short introduction to Ayurveda.
You’ll complete a short quiz beforehand and I recommended to do the quiz when you’re feeling your best; if you’re not feeling well right now, think back to a time when you were and answer from that point.

You will come away with an understanding of what foods, lifestyle, exercise and practices are supportive for your unique constitution and how these help keep you in balance and prevent chronic diseases.

This session is part of the Communing Series, hosted on The Portal Collective and open to everyone. You’ll need to sign up for a free account on the Portal Collective to access it. Once you’re signed up, you’ll see all the offerings there, many of which are free and all of which are incredible.

What a great afternoon!
Sharing our knowledge on a topic which we are both so passionate about. Areas which we covered included cycle health, food and lifestyle advice specific for individual constitutions and phase of life, home remedies and ayurvedic herbs.

Ramadan Kareem to you all ✨🫶🏻
I struggled for years trying to keep to Ayurvedic teachings during fasting in Ramadan as I couldn’t find much information out there. So I decided to create a guide based on all the knowledge I’ve learnt so far in Ayurveda and adapt it to this month.
Modern takes on healthy fasting has some similarities but often focuses on adequate protein intake (important ) and avoiding sugar crashes (also important) but there’s not much info re digestion and digestive heath.
These are some of the most important tips I feel when fasting in Ramadan to ensure good gut health and digestion.

As a basic guide :
Fermented foods are great as they increase the microbiome diversity in the gut but they are also quite heating to the body and can increase inflammation in some individuals.
If you suffer from any pitta type disorders such as reflux, frequent migraines, acne, psoriasis, endometriosis or heavy painful periods I would avoid having excessively.
Everything in moderation is key in ayurveda!
