Anxiety makes everything feel fast- your thoughts, what you have to do, all the sensations in your body. Stop! Slow down. Pause. Take it slowly. Chunk it down. Do what ever you need to, to come out of those racing thoughts and come into the present. It may be changing activity, washing your hands, a breathing exercise, writing it down, going outside- thinking "I just need to get through the next 5 minutes" Whatever it takes to stop going round and round in your mind!
