🌧️☔ Today’s Albert Village lunch walk was definitely one to remember!

Despite the heavy rain and winds, 5 of us still turned up, got outside, and enjoyed a walk together. 💚

It may not have been the driest lunchtime stroll, but it proved that a bit of bad weather can’t dampen good conversations and a great community spirit.

A huge thank you to everyone who braved the conditions and came along today! Hopefully we’ll be back to sunshine next week! 🌿

Yes, it’s looking like a rainy one today, but the walk is still going ahead as planned! 💚

We’ll only cancel if there’s a severe weather warning or conditions become unsafe.

If you’re joining us, I’d recommend bringing:
☔ An umbrella
🧥 A waterproof jacket
👟 Suitable footwear for wet paths

A bit of rain won’t stop us from getting outdoors and enjoying a walk together. See you there! 🌿

🌿 500 followers… wow! 🌿

What started as a simple idea to get people outdoors and talking has grown into an amazing community, and I genuinely can’t thank you all enough for the support.

Whether you’ve joined a walk, liked a post, shared our events, or simply followed along, you’ve helped make Touch Grass what it is today. 💚

The goal has never been about follower counts it’s about creating a welcoming space where people can get outside, meet others, and feel part of something positive.

Here’s to many more walks, conversations, and connections.

It was great to see so many familiar faces joining us for a lovely evening of walking and chatting.

A special thank you to Tor from Walk Derbyshire for coming along tonight and supporting the group as we take this exciting next step. We’ve now officially partnered with Walk Derbyshire, which will help us continue to grow safely with access to walk leader training, support, and insurance while keeping the friendly, community focused atmosphere that makes Touch Grass so special.

You may have noticed some new registration forms this evening, these are simply to help us keep everyone safe and are a one-time sign-up for new participants.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support the group. It’s amazing to see how far we’ve come in such a short space of time.

We may be a little behind with the write-up, but it was another lovely lunchtime walk around Albert Village. The weather was kind to us, the company was great, and it was fantastic to welcome a new face along too! 👋

One of the highlights was seeing the baby goslings again, they’ve already doubled in size since we last saw them! It’s amazing how quickly they’re growing, and they’re definitely becoming a favourite sight on our walks. 🪿

Thank you to everyone who joined us today. We hope you enjoyed getting out for some fresh air, good conversation, and a chance to stretch the legs. Looking forward to seeing you all again soon!
