⚠️🌧️ Touch Grass – Walk Cancelled Today 🌧️⚡

Unfortunately, due to the thunderstorms, lightning and heavy rain we’ve had today, we’ve decided to cancel today’s lunchtime Touch Grass walk at Albert Village Lake.

The safety of everyone who comes along is our priority, and with the current conditions, we don’t feel it’s appropriate to go ahead today.

We know we’ve braved plenty of rain recently 😂☔️, but with lightning and thunderstorms, it’s best not to take any chances.

Stay safe, stay dry, and we’ll see you on the next walk! 💚🌿

Well, the weather certainly tried to put us off today!

Despite the rain, 5 of us still turned up for today’s lunchtime walk at Albert Village Lake and it was definitely an umbrella kind of day! ☔️😂

There may have been plenty of rain, but there were still plenty of smiles, good conversation and a lovely walk around the lake. Sometimes you’ve just got to embrace the weather! 💚

A huge thank you to everyone who braved the rain and came along today. Your commitment to Touch Grass is brilliant!

Our Touch Grass lunchtime walk is still planned for today at Albert Village Lake! 🥾🌳

However, the weather is looking pretty miserable at the moment with heavy rain, so please keep an eye on the conditions and use your own judgement before heading out. 🌧️

If you do decide to join us, make sure you’re dressed appropriately and prepared for the wet weather. Most importantly, don’t feel any pressure to attend if the conditions aren’t suitable for you.

☀️ Touch Grass – Important Update for Today ☀️

Due to temperatures expected to reach over 30°C today, there will be no official Touch Grass walk today at Albert Village Lake.

The safety and wellbeing of everyone who comes along is always our priority, and we don’t want anyone putting themselves at unnecessary risk in extreme heat. 💚

My dad and I will still be heading down to the lake ourselves, but we strongly recommend that everyone considers the temperatures before deciding to come out. We are not encouraging anyone to walk today, and anyone who chooses to do so is doing so at their own risk.

If you do decide to head out, please take the heat seriously:
💧 Take plenty of water
🧢 Wear a hat and suitable, lightweight clothing
🧴 Use sun protection
🌳 Stay in shaded areas where possible
🚨 Don’t push yourself and turn back if you feel unwell

Sometimes the best way to Touch Grass is knowing when to stay inside and keep cool! 😎🌿
