Our team at Empower Support in Swansea has always believed in the power of connection, inclusion, and meaningful social engagement—and it’s amazing to see the impact of our work acknowledged in this way. From building confidence to becoming a lifeline for our clients, these events and groups are all about helping the people we support truly thrive 💛

Over the past few weeks, our clients have been lucky enough to be guided through some art sessions in the place of our usual walking group. These have seen fab uptake from clients, even clients we don’t often see at our walking group! 👏

For us at Empower, this signifies our ongoing commitment to our clients and their wellbeing but also the commitment to creating a therapeutic, positive environment for them to regain their confidence and independence in the community.

Thrive at Home is THRIVING and growing rapidly at the moment, but we will always ensure to provide the highest quality person centred support to our clients.

World mental health awareness day has its benefits but we need actionable changes and our policy makers to be held accountable for the cuts to services and their implications.

Awareness is nothin without ;
Access to services
Tangible treatment plans
Support in times of crisis
Manageable waiting lists
Feeling heard, seen and supported
Feeling part of a community
Having your rights and needs met
Yes, let's raise awareness but let's raise the standards too.

SUPPORT WORKER > MENTAL HEALTH NURSE.
As a team we would like to congratulate and celebrate who got her nursing PIN today and will be spreading her wings to go off and work in the NHS and an RMN.
We are so proud of Maddison who first joined our team aged 18 three years ago at the start of her mental health nursing degree.
Maddison, is a joy and will be missed by staff and clients alike. Her ability to make you feel at ease, CHAT, and build rapport is second to none. She is endlessly kind and generous and if often laden with cans of pop and sweet treats for all 👀 and will make a wonderful nurse.
A note from Em our director "I worked with Maddison when I was just 18 myself... and she was 3! I was on placement in her nursery class, interviewing her for this position made me feel very old! It's been lush to work alongside Maddi and I hope our paths cross again in tbe furtue. Good luck in all you do you will be fantastic!"

On this , we want to remind everyone of the power of connection and community. Early intervention, emotional support, and a strong sense of belonging can be life-changing for those battling mental health struggles.

At Empower Support, we believe in fostering a caring and non-judgmental environment where people feel safe, supported, and heard. It's through genuine human connections that recovery becomes possible.
