Hi 👋 I'm Hayley of Ebb & Flow Yoga based on the beautiful coastline of the Gower Peninsula. I'm a 250 hour Yoga Alliance registered Yoga Teacher who completed training with in Carmarthen in June 2023. I am a Mum of 2, have a background of working in the mental health field and I love to make linoprints based on the nature around me () I'm happiest in and around the sea with the people in my life I love 💕
Why 'Ebb & Flow' Yoga?
Yoga continues to be an anchor for me through the ebbs and flow of life. Like many, I started my journey with yoga asana (more than 20 years ago now!!) for the physical benefits....(of which there are many!) but I stayed for the mental; the moments of calm, clarity & contentment that a regular practice brings my anxious mind 🙏. I'm passionate to [respectfully] share some of the special tools and wisdom from this ancient practice with others who can also feel the benefits.
Yoga is an ancient philosophy, science and spiritual practice that has its roots in India more than 4000 years ago. One of the most renowned definitions of Yoga according to Patanjali (in Sanskrit) states: "Yogas citta vrtti nirodhah" which translates as: "yoga is the stilling of the fluctuations of the mind".
Much like the ebb & flow of the tides, our thoughts can feel in constant motion, sometimes turbulent with highs and lows. Yoga provides a framework to help us find moments of stillness from within and it is my hope to be able to assist a little with this process 🙏.
I'll be mainly teaching yoga asana (physical postures), Pranayama (breath work) and sharing more on yoga philosophy. I'm currently available for private tuition (pls message if interested!) and more to follow on an upcoming class.
