Watching Olivia Attwood, the price of perfection....... series three ... one and two already watched.
Being bullied for years at school, and workplace in my early career, also working within the beauty industry for a number of years, where you are expected to chase the next trend and your appearance at times is more valuable that your ideas. I understand the knock on effect that this can have on your confidence, your relationship with your self, apperace and identity.
I am also very privileged to have been around women and some men, over the last ten years, who had to have life saving surgery after a cancer diagnosis, and the magnitude of the decisions faced to be or feel "normal". Surgery is not an easy option, and neither are the mental scars it leaves behind.
So. What is the price of perfection??
For me it was not what tweaks did I need. It was about recognising me, and feeling comfortable in my own skin. Looking at me I my 20s, v 40s I can see the the changes in my appearance, but I can feel the changes in my self...
I would love to hear your thoughts...
