Also coming up in June:
🙏Kundalini Yoga with kundalini_yoga_telford - 20 June 9-10.30
🙏Soothing Soundscape - 21 June 6-7.30
🙏Plus some exciting other sessions over Summer Solstice Weekend (watch this space)

My Weekend Story..................
What a weekend I've had (and I didn't go far). According to my FitBit (which nearly exploded) over this weekend I clocked up over 35,000 steps (just shy of 8 miles) and, apart from the occasional trip to the loo 🚽, I didn’t leave the Sound Space - so expect some changes when you next visit (work in progress!)

Thank the lord for Yoga and Callanetics - What is apparent to me is how much my practices support me to be able to work flaming hard and wake up without any echo (pains) from the day before - so even when I don’t want to, I’ll show up for my practice for this reason if nothing else

Callanetics has made me stronger now than I was a few years ago, and that strength shows up not just in life but in my physical yoga practice — and sometimes in the not-so-everyday challenges too like this weekend

Yoga gives me so much more than flexibility and mobility (the physical aspects of practice). It reminds me to stay present, enjoy the work, and focus on one step at a time rather than the finish line. There were a couple of moments when I could easily have given in, sat down, and had a good cry (I did allow myself a couple of moments like that), but yoga has taught me resilience, patience, and how to keep showing up - and importantly when to rest when I needed it

At this stage of life, I don’t take being fit, mobile, and able to do these things for granted. I’m incredibly grateful for what these practices continue to give me, both physically and mentally 🙏

So come on down, join me xx

A homeless man died of hunger but there was food at his funeral.

Oscar Wilde.

Wilde was the undisputed king of the Victorian social scene before a spectacular fall from grace led to his imprisonment and early death. He was a man who understood both the surface-level polish of high society and the cold reality of the gutter. This quote serves as a stinging critique of a world that values the appearance of mourning over the substance of mercy.

In our current era, the message remains a sharp rebuke of performative empathy. We often find it easier to contribute to a memorial fund than to a living person's survival. The irony of the funeral feast is a mirror held up to our misplaced priorities, reminding us that respect is best served to those who can still feel its warmth.

When was the last time we prioritized a person's dignity while they were still here to witness it?
