Bridget Phillipson's message on SEND is clear:

• We can't have a strong and inclusive society without a strong and inclusive education system.

• The chronic underperformance of these children was met too often not with a shout of outrage but with a sigh of resignation. Sad but inevitable, the system had decided.

• By sending our children to school together, we'll make our country not just stronger but kinder.

That's why the Education Secretary is calling on global leaders to join an International Alliance to deliver opportunity for all children with SEND.

1,000 signatures.
1,000 people standing up and saying children with SEND deserve better.

This petition was created because too many families have experienced repeated breaches of SEND law with little accountability, while children are left without the support they legally need.

Today, we reached an important milestone together.

Thank you to every parent, carer, professional, family member, friend and supporter who signed, shared, commented, and helped keep this conversation going. Every signature represents a child, a family, a lived experience, and a refusal to stay silent.

This is bigger than numbers.
It’s about recognition.
It’s about accountability.
It’s about protecting children from being failed repeatedly by systems meant to support them.

We are only just getting started.

Next target: 10,000 signatures for an official Government response.
