Fantastic achievement today Sunday 16th August 2026 by Lawrence, who has completed his 400m award. His improved concentration and motor programming have allowed him to stylishly with strength be awarded this badge with certificate. His practice has definitely made permanent as demonstrated today. Thank you mum, Hayley, for continuing to attend every week, the benefit is clear to see. Dad, sister and younger brother attend when they can making it an enjoyable whole family experience. Well done Masie, you have doubled your distance from a couple of weeks ago. The stylish and controlled way you swam 8 lengths, totaling 200ms was truly exceptional. Thank you for all your effort and mum for bringing you all every time. Lol Sue XXMBEXX

The CHILD annual gala is on Sunday 26th July 2026. 10-11:15am. Warm-up, gala races, certificate, medals, float relay race and a goody bag on your way out. We have booked the pool exclusively for the gala so please cone along. Bring a spare t-shirt or towel to keep warm between races. Lol Sue XXMBEXX

Bad news from Thornaby Pool, its closed due to the heat plate in the pool plant system finally stopped working altogether. The part has been ordered and may come as early as Tuesday. If it does it means the pool can be up to temperature for CHILD swimming on Sunday 19th October 2025. Joe, a manager at the pool will keep me posted and as soon as I know I’ll post on here. Apologies everyone but Joe has phoned me from the pool and although the engineers have been out everyday the pool temperature is going backwards!! 27.5 to 27.3. Too cold for CHILD swimmers unless you are swimming loads. I will be there but as last week would advise that its too cold for our normal session. If you come please put swimmers in a shortie wet suit which could keep them warm enough to stay in more than 5 mins without blue lips and the start of hypothermia !!. See you next time. Just had a call from Joe, at Thornaby pool. The temperature of ghe pool has fallen to 27 degrees!. Cold. The engineers have been but the temperature is only 27.3 degrees!!. Still cold. Its the inflatable session on Sunday but with the water cold I would suggest missing a week. I will be there but I can swim, creating body heat . Cold water is not a good experience for some of our children and totally get missing a week. If you do want to risk it session and I will be there. Lol Sue XXMBEXX
