This week, 8-14 June is Diabetes Week in the UK. 💙
👣 If you have diabetes it’s particularly important you take care of your feet as you are more at risk of complications that can lead to significant foot and lower limb issues.

Some basic steps for diabetic foot care:
1. Check your feet every day including between your toes - If you can’t see your feet use a small mirror or ask someone else to take a look for you.
2. Wash your feet - Wash your feet daily and dry carefully, particularly between your toes.
3. Wear properly fitting socks and footwear - Shoes and socks that fit correctly will help keep your feet healthy.
4. Moisturise your feet - Moisturise daily but avoid putting cream between your toes.
5. Get expert advice from a healthcare professional.
