The Wisdom Bank is an exciting new project, which is creating an online mentorinig and learning environment, powered by local Wisdom and local people. By getting involved in the Wisdom Bank website you can:

*Give and receive support online, via instant message, email and forums.
*Create and upload your own helpful content, such as videos and guides.
*Get useful information on a variety of topic

s, and learn what support is available in your area. In this initial phase, the Wisdom Bank will host information and videos on the following:

*Employment
*Starting or expanding your business
*Starting or expanding your social enterprise
*Information for carers and care leavers
*Diabetes

Get Involved! The Wisdom Bank wants to speak to you and support you to get involved! During this developmental stage, we would like to invite you too:

*Talk to us about what topics you would like to see on the Wisdom Bank, and what information you would like access to
*Sign up to the Wisdom Bank website, and help us test it before we go live
*Work with us to create helpful videos and written guides, which can be uploaded to the website

We will be running workshops throughout Torfaen and we would love for you to take part - get in touch and we will give you the details of your closest session!

The Wisdom Bank is entirely new internet experience,

exclusively for residents and groups based in Torfaen and surrounding areas

The Wisdom Bank gives community groups an opportunity to develop their own mini-site.

No prior experience is required , and we will provide full training

You can

• Post videos, photos or audio

• Create web pages

• Publicise Events

• Host discussion forums

• Take part in live video chat

Unlike Facebook and Twitter, you are in control

You have the power to take down any unpleasant or abusive comments immediately , and at the click of a button.

e are inviting interested groups to register for our training day

First Come, First Served

By the end of the day, you will have created your own mini-site, and be able to moderate and maintain it.

Training will be held in Cwmbran or Pontypool (date to be confirmed)

Laptops provided on the day

Free tea and coffee.

Session approx. 2 hours
