YNSA in action: sciatica relief in one session 🌿
A client came in this week with a sciatica flare-up on her left side, radiating down the leg — pain onset just 4 days earlier, sitting around 6/10 before treatment. She's active (golf, walking, running) and had success with acupuncture for sciatica years before, but this was a fresh flare.
Using Yamamoto New Scalp Acupuncture (YNSA), we identified sensitive points on the scalp and applied acupressure first — she stood up, moved through the pain, and reported it easing almost immediately. We then added scalp needles plus supporting body points to release lumbar tension.
By the end of the session, her pain had dropped from 6/10 to 2/10.
Everyone responds differently, but it's a great reminder of how targeted, precise acupuncture work can bring fast relief — even for pain that's been building for years. 💛

Acupuncture may help improve a variety of eye conditions by supporting circulation, reducing inflammation, and promoting the body's natural healing response.

It may be used as supportive treatment for:
• Eye pain and ophthalmic disturbances
• Inflammation
• Itching
• Redness
• Dry eyes
• Loss of vision (selected conditions)
• Glaucoma
• Cataracts
• Lazy eye (amblyopia)
• Weakness of the muscles surrounding the eye

Treatment is always personalised and should complement regular eye care from your optician or ophthalmologist. Contact us to find out whether acupuncture may be suitable for your condition.

Q: How can acupuncture help headaches and migraines?
A: Acupuncture supports the body’s natural pain-relief system. It helps release endorphins (natural painkillers), improves blood circulation, reduces muscle tension, and calms the nervous system.
Many people notice:
• Less pressure and tightness
• Fewer migraine attacks
• Reduced stress
• Better overall balance
Acupuncture does not just mask the pain — it works to address underlying
causes such as tension, stress, or imbalance.
Results vary, but even a few sessions can make a noticeable difference.

I often see people with one-sided tension — jaw pain (TMJ), headaches at the temple, tight shoulders, pain running down the arm. These are usually hard-working people who carry a lot of responsibility and find it hard to switch off.

Recently, I treated a client with right-sided jaw and head pain. Her body reacted strongly at first, then settled deeply. The next day, she told me her pain had eased and she felt noticeably better overall.

This kind of pain isn’t weakness. It’s the body responding to long-term stress.

With gentle support, the nervous system can relax and the body can release.

If this sounds familiar, feel free to message me — there is a way forward.

Shingles (herpes zoster) isn’t only a skin problem—it can flare up when you're feeling stressed or emotionally overwhelmed.
Acupuncture offers fast, gentle relief by calming the nervous system and supporting recovery. In Chinese Medicine, shingles reflects toxic heat, dampness, and internal wind. Acupuncture clears skin toxicity, eases nerve pain, and restores balance—especially when started early. It works safely alongside antivirals and steroids, and may reduce long-term discomfort. If you’re facing shingles or postherpetic pain, holistic support can make all the difference.
Book your session today and feel the shift—inside and out.
