There are a lot of misconceptions about what shadow work is. Whilst the term was coined by Carl Jung and the particular methods by which I might guide clients into Shadow Work include modern techniques, the practice itself is ancient and rooted deep in mysticism and chthonic practice.
Because "Shadow Work" has become somewhat of a New Age trend and a popular, yet often misunderstood and misused phrase, plastered all over social media, I am distinguishing my work specifically as Chthonic Shadow Work.
The word chthonic means “under the earth” and comes from the Ancient Greek khthṓn, meaning earth or soil. It is used to describe the Underworld and the deep realms beneath the surface.
In my practice I work directly with these ancient forces as my guides, sources of ancient wisdom and as powers of deep transformation.
My Chthonic Shadow Work is not about trying to "raise your vibrations" or "fix" anything considered broken. Chthonic Shadow Work is about becoming more deeply rooted in the reality of mortal life, not trying to escape from it. It is about taking you deeper, not higher.
This work isn't for the faint-hearted. It is not gentle, it is not easy and transformation is not passive.
Awakening is not gifted, it is claimed.
If you are ready to descend into the darkness but are looking for a guide to illuminate the path for you, then let's talk.
All Shadow Work begins with a free 30-minute conversation. This gives us an opportunity to talk about what you want to explore, answer any questions and make sure this is the right work for you.
