So.. you may have heard I've been busy with a certain something something...

The Binge Eating Blueprint is HERE (well almost...) but it's real enough to announce to you.

You can read it in more detail within the post, but the heart and soul of BEB comes from my own personal story. I struggled for years because I didn't have the knowledge, tools or support to know better. What I didn't know, I didn't know.

I truly do not want the same for you. Binge eating can feel complex and inescapable but my professional opinion? Treating binge eating is actually simple.

This is the framework I use to break the cycle:

➡️Understand why you're binge eating from an objective stance
➡️Understand the role of nutrition
➡️Identify and tackle your triggers
➡️Shift your perspective body image
➡️Make time for the important areas of your life

The Binge Eating Cycle is formulated by the above framework providing you with straight-to-the-point knowledge and practical tools that you can apply to your life from the get-go.

I've included every relevant topic within BEB, but if there's something missing pertaining to your personal situation it's not a problem - you can request additional lessons which will be delivered within a week.

The course will be ready in April, but if you join the waitlist, you'll get early access plus £100 off - making this the BEST way to access the only resource you'll need to stop binge eating.

I asked a couple of my clients what they would say to someone who was hesitant to make the investment into professional support to heal their relationship with food, and this is what they said ⬆️

“You can’t put a price on health”

It’s as simple as that.

Apply to work with me so we can get you into a good place again. Link in bio.

Helping you regulate your eating behaviours & navigate emotions are both vital parts of therapy.

But “Can I just do it alone?” I hear you ask…

Well imaginary voice… the truthful answer is maybe.. maybe not.

But what I do know is that getting therapeutic support will supersede your progress. So instead of taking years to find the answer, it can take you a matter a months.

If you want to organise a virtual coffee with me, let’s do it - DM me for more details.

Let’s break this down further.

In the context of binge eating, try to imagine that your brain is a smoke detector (stay with me haha!).

When a smoke detector detects smoke it fires an alarm

Because smoke = possible danger

To your brain, restricting food intake is like SMOKE because your brain interprets it as “possible danger”

So your brain fires off the alarm by activating the urge to binge to encourage you to eat.

So if you want to stop the urge to binge so you can stop binge eating.. eating regularly is a must.

I’ve heard people describe their struggle with binge eating as a curse because it feels they will be stuck with this struggle forever.

But I ASSURE you, you’re not cursed. You just haven’t found the right support, education and tools to help YOU.

If you want to break the cycle, I offer 3-month journeys to provide you with what you need to stop. If you want more details, DM me and we’ll set up a virtual coffee together.

So what does this really mean?

When we talk about food, feeding ourselves and consumption - most people would think about food in the physical nutrition sense. And you’re not wrong!

But our feeding habits also go beyond this. Did you know our brain processes about 12-60 THOUSAND thoughts A DAY.

These thoughts can be based on:
-our own inner chatter i.e. how we speak to ourselves
-the media we consume i.e social media and the people we follow
-the chatter from the people in our lives

So here’s the reflection piece for you:
-is what you’re consuming on a daily basis helping you?
-do you speak to yourself with kindness? Or do you call yourself names?
-do you feel positive when looking on social media? Or worse?
-do the people in your life uplift you? Or do you feel drained afterwards?

Consume wisely. 🦉

Let the debate begin!

Look I don’t have anything against motivation. I like you LOVE a dose of motivation. But here’s the problem… that dose is in limited supply because motivation is based on feeling good and feeling good is not a constant.

This is why you’re so excited at the beginning:
-you want to improve our relationship with food
-you want to stop binge eating
-you want to FINALLY live your best life

But then before we know it, we’re back in our slump.
-you’re binge eating more than ever
-you’re feeling like a failure
-you cannot even remember why you started

So what do we do instead?

Honestly… I would forget motivation.

If you happen to find yourself in the motivation zone, use it by getting clear on what you want your life to look like. Take notes… but then commit to taking action regardless of how you’re feeling.

People stop binge eating by doing - so this is where you map out the action points you need to take and do not use feeling good and being motivated as a condition to take action.

Example action points:
-Eat regular meals today
-Meditate for 10 minutes
-Journal for 10 minutes

Disclaimer: This isn’t saying this will be easy or simple. There are lots of moving parts as to why you find taking action hard - but relying on motivation is slowing you down.

I had so many clients bring this episode up in session so I HAD to talk about it.

I'm not here to say anyone is 100% right or 100% wrong. It's not my place to and in most cases, it's not how things work.

My philosophy has always been the same: take what you need, and leave the rest.

My thoughts on the podcast episode are overall positive but I would love to hear your opinion (no right or wrong!).
