Even small actions can make a big difference. 💜

Together our individual actions build a movement for good mental health. Find a positive action that works for you.

Taking time to move your body, getting outside, staying connected with others, and allowing yourself moments to rest can all help improve how you feel day to day. Checking in with yourself, being kind to your mind, and reaching out for support when you need it are positive steps worth taking.

Food Lovers Holiday and wow- what a tasty week it was! 😋🍽️

We kicked things off with an arts & crafts workshop, followed by a fun touch, taste and smell quiz, where guests had to guess food items using only their senses. 🎨👃👅👂
On Tuesday, it was time to get our hands dirty planting seedlings before switching gears to prep for the big “Come Dine With Me”–style competition. 🌱👩‍🍳 Guests split into teams—starters, mains and desserts—all leading up to Thursday night’s showdown. 🍲🍰🥗
Our midweek day trip took us to Middle Farm, where guests met some animals, enjoyed lunch out, and wrapped up the day with our much‑loved karaoke night. 🐄🎤

Thursday brought a visit from Bel and the Forest School, before the week ended on a high with the final cook‑off. The winning dish? A show‑stopping homemade ice cream, made completely from scratch! 🍨🏆
A truly delicious week- perfect for anyone who loves cooking, creating, and of course… eating great food! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳❤️

Huge thanks to all the staff who helped make this happen — your energy and support made the week unforgettable. 🙌👏

Spring has sprung at Nutley Edge 🌷 Last week, we hosted our first arts and crafts holiday of the year! We kicked things off with afternoon tea 🍰 and an Easter egg hunt 🐣, followed by an Easter arts workshop 🎨 and a cosy evening with roast chicken dinner and Harry Potter ✨

On Tuesday, we enjoyed a full day of arts and crafts 🖌️ We decorated tote bags to celebrate Autism Awareness Month 💙, painted key rings and puzzles, and finished the day with our usual karaoke night 🎤

Wednesday took us to Brighton 🌊 We visited Brighton Museum and Art Gallery, explored the exhibits, joined in with activities, dressed up for silly photos, went shopping, enjoyed the pier, and ended the day with dinner at a Mexican restaurant 🌮

On Thursday, Bel from the Forest School joined us 🌿 We decorated butterflies for our bug hotel, made leaf imprints in clay, and used plants found in the forest. In the evening, guests relaxed in the sunshine at Nutley Edge and received their certificates 📜

We finished the week with a visit to East Grinstead Museum 🏛️, where guests learned more about the town’s history and had fun dressing up for more photos!

What a lovely week full of creativity, sunshine, and new friendships ☀️💛

Holly is running the 2026 London Marathon! 🏃‍♀️💙

She’s taking on the challenge to support adults with learning disabilities, autistic people, older people, and young people at risk to live independently.

The money raised will help the Waltham Forest Outreach team secure a new venue for their drop-ins, art sessions and music groups 🎨🎶 after their current space closes in May.

For many people, this space is more than just a room — it’s a lifeline, a place to connect, and a place to belong 🤝✨

Any support or donation would mean so much. Thank you for helping make a difference 💛

Last week, we hosted our first ever Harry Potter Week and Weekend Activity Break and what a success it was! The week started off with a lunch out and a Harry Potter Quiz in the evening. On Tuesday we had visit from Owls and Raptors Centre and our guests got to meet some owls up close. In the afternoon, we had a Wizarding Workshop, where we made potions. Finished day two off with our karaoke party and some of our guests had some amazing Harry Potter costumes with them!

We went on a day trip to Bodiam Castle on the Wednesday, and we were blessed with sunshine and amazing weather. We wandered around the castle, some of us even climbed the highest tower, and took loads of funny pictures. We ended the day in the local pub with some drinks and fish and chips.

On the Thursday, we had Bel from the Forest School come in and do some wizard crafts. We made our own wands with sticks from the forest and decorated them, as well as making our own magic spells. The day finished with a hat ceremony, where we put everyone into their own Hogwarts House. On the way home from Nutley Edge, we finished the week off with some bowling and some of our guests got multiple strikes.

It was an absolutely magical week and we can’t wait to do it all again next year!
