Pepper Foundation Hello! We are The Pepper Foundation, a UK registered charity that raises vital funds for children's hospice at home care in Bucks & Herts.

Good health is something we take for granted in our youth and any loving parents wish is that their children enjoy a happy and carefree childhood, without worry or pain. Sadly, some children are not so fortunate and can suffer from traumatic life-limiting and in some cases, terminal illnesses. The suffering endured by these children and the stress and strain it brings to families can be unbearable

. The Pepper Foundation funds the Children's Hospice at Home service managed by Rennie Grove Hospice Care. This service includes specialist nursing care, respite care, and play specialists. The service cares for babies, children and young people up to the age of 19 living with life-limiting conditions in west Herts and Bucks. The service offers flexible care tailored to each family’s needs to help the children and their families enjoy the best quality of life possible and make every moment together matter. Although there is some limited state funding, the Pepper Foundation is reliant on the public's generosity and support to fund the majority of the costs. The Pepper Foundation and Rennie Grove Hospice Care work in partnership and will continue to respond to the growing need for children's hospice at home care.

This is 9 year old Aidan and his mum who live in Buckinghamshire. Both he and his family have been getting support from Helen & Douglas House since 2022. As well as stays at the hospice for symptom management, the family also get help at home from our Outreach nurses whose work in Buckinghamshire is funded by the Pepper Foundation.

Rhian and Belle both help mum Zoe to cope with the complexities of Aidan's condition and also advocate for her. They visit her at home and support her in getting the medical supplies and medications to support Aidan 24/7 care.

"They provide a lot of support, obviously to Aidan, but also provide support to me and dad and to keep a happy household, keep Aidan safe and be the best carers we can possibly be"

Wow, what a day! 🪂 The Great Pepper Skydive returned for its third year yesterday, and it was absolutely incredible!

A massive THANK YOU to the brave thrill-seekers who threw themselves out of a perfectly good plane. You are absolute legends.

Play is for everyone 🧸💜

Today is the International Day of Play, a time to recognise that every single child has the right to play, smile and explore.

The Pepper Foundation believes that complex medical conditions shouldn't stand in the way of being a child.

Our play team work closely with children and their families to design bespoke, accessible activities each week. By focusing on unique needs and abilities, we make sure that every child can experience the benefits and pure fun of play.
