Special guests joining us next Thursday at Women’s Wellness Group .
Cranstoun will be at the Women's Wellness Group!
We're really pleased to share that Sue and Theresa from Cranstoun will be joining our next session, Thursday 2nd July, 6.30–7.30pm at Upton Church Rooms.
Cranstoun provide free, confidential support across Worcestershire for anyone over 18 who wants to reduce or change their relationship with alcohol, with services delivered through a central hub in Worcester as well as community outreach locations and a shared care scheme working closely with local GP surgeries, including our own Upton GPs, who we're proud to already work closely with.
They'll also be telling us about their WISE Project (Women In Safe Environments), a service designed to provide a safe and welcoming space for women who use drugs and alcohol in the local area. Given who we are and what this group is all about, it feels like a really natural fit, and we're excited to hear more about it on the night.
They also offer support and guidance for family members and friends who are affected by someone else's drinking, through their Family Support Service, something close to my heart, as I volunteered with their Family Support team many years ago (back when they were known as Swanswell) during my counselling training. It's lovely to be reconnecting with them now, in a completely different capacity.
Sue and Theresa will be on hand to chat informally, answer any questions, and let you know what support is available locally, no pressure, no judgement, just an open door if you'd like to know more.
As always, our group is free, friendly, and open to any woman wanting to reduce, take a break from, or remove alcohol from their life. Whether you're curious about Cranstoun's services or just fancy a cuppa and a chat with people who get it, come along.
