I'm back !!!

At last, I have returned to work, any appointments will be as booked before I broke my wrist.

Looking forward to seeing everyone I've missed over the last 3 months 😍

Health Update : I went to hospital yesterday for a check up after my operation a couple of weeks ago. Everything is healing well, but I've had another cast put on my wrist for four weeks, this means I can't start physio until well into June, so the earliest I'll be back to work will be 1st week in July. I'm really disappointed it's going to be so long, but I guess we've got to get it right. Hopefully see you all soon 🥰

Unfortunately I have broken my wrist over the weekend. I am therefore going to be off work for at least a couple of months. I will be in touch with everyone in due course regarding their appointments, but just thought I would give you a quick heads up here 😊

Happy 1st of February 😊 Is it just me or did January feel about 8 weeks long !?!?!
While it may be the last month of winter, the nights are starting to lighten and spring is just around the corner.

The Big Sing at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School on 10th May – it’s free – just turn up!

The Big Sing is a community sing along for people affected by dementia and their family, friends, supporters, and champions. This is a magical event in a fun and supportive environment, using the power of music and collective voices to bring people together and lift spirits.

Come along and sing your favourite songs and help support the community as part of Dementia Action Week. This event is free and accessible. Taking place in Queen Elizabeth Grammar School. Doors open at 1.30 pm. Everyone is welcome.

This event is organised by Memory Action Group. Memory Action group is a local charity who exist to help people affected by dementia and their family and carers living in the Wakefield district and surrounding areas; using games, cognitive therapy, quizzes, singing, crafting, day trips, social experiences and other activities. They create opportunities for peer support for both people living with dementia and also family, friends, and carers.
