What I have come to understand when working with people at their End-Of-Life, or with those who go a grieving, it’s never about the bigs things.

However, it’s easy to loose sight of this when we are in the swirl of life, working hard towards goals, disappoints at the doors that never opened, feeling less than because our lives and experiences don’t fit into the cooker cutter that society celebrates.

I am here holding hope, that we will find our own ways of being, that are worthy of celebration, remembering that at the end of the day, it’s the small things that really matters.

June often brings a natural buzz, a sense of motion, gathering, and time-shared outdoors.

For others, June feels different. The midpoint of the year can stir ache around hopes still waiting or changes not yet made. Father’s Day can also stir tenderness for those missing their fathers, navigating complicated relationships, or longing for fatherhood.

However June is meeting you, you are warmly invited to our Goodness Gracious Grief Talking Circle at Heather’s Café in Cholsey on Sunday 14th June at 11am.

Let us meet this month with space for all that you are carrying.

Transitions are hard, as we step out of what was to what will be. Be gentle with yourself in the liminal space before change, because that when our grief will visit.

Grief changes the way we see the world around us. It’s that internal shifting of perspectives, deep understanding and reorganisation of what we value, that brings newness to the everyday.
