12 weeks ago today, I stepped on the scales and saw a 2.5lb gain. In that moment, I realised I had just 12 weeks until my holiday.
For months, I’d been finding excuse after excuse not to Food Optimise. I felt unhappy, frustrated, and angry with myself. The more I struggled, the worse I felt, and it became a vicious circle that I just couldn’t seem to break.
So, with 12 weigh-ins until my holiday, Project Jemma was born.
I found a 12-week tracker on here another consultant had created and asked ChatGPT to update it for me (Thank you Caroline if you should see this post 🩷) and decided it was time to go back to basics.
I watched the new member talk refresher on the app, completed food diaries, planned my meals each day, and gave myself a daily maximum SWIP allowance based on my plans.
The first week brought a lovely 2lb loss, and that was all I needed. The fire in my belly was back! 🔥
Week after week, I planned, prepared, weighed, measured, and stayed focused. Slowly but surely, the scales started moving in the right direction.
I set myself a goal each week and reminded myself every single day what I was working towards. I stayed consistent, trusted the process, and kept going even when it felt hard.
Today, with just one final weigh-in before my holiday, I am 26lbs down in 11 weeks! 🎉
I am absolutely over the moon and so incredibly proud of myself.
I’ve received so many lovely comments and compliments along the way, but more importantly, I feel fantastic. I’ve got my confidence back, I feel happier in myself, and I’ve proved that when I stop making excuses and start believing in myself, amazing things can happen.
