𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 - 𝟑 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭

This was a fantastic 3-part project for one of our customers, with Herts Homelifts managing the entire project from start to finish. We coordinated the different trades and made sure everything came together to create a safe and accessible entrance for our wheelchair-using customer.

Part 1 – Building work
We brought in Vickers Garage Conversions to carry out the building work. The height of each step was increased to create the wider landing space required to meet the guidelines for a platform lift and provide accessible access to the front door.

They also constructed a ramp running along the front of the property, making it much easier for the customer to access the back garden.

Part 2 – New front door
With the landing area raised, we contacted SVC Home Improvements to supply and fit a brand-new front door at a lower level. This created a much more manageable threshold for the wheelchair user to get through.

Part 3 – Elevate Glide platform lift
Once all the building work was complete, Herts Homelifts Ltd installed the customer's brand-new Elevate Glide platform lift, providing easy and accessible access to the front door.

The result is a safer, more accessible entrance and greater independence for our customer.

When the phone just keeps ringing…

Sometimes you’ve got to make the extra effort and fit jobs in at the weekend — because we simply don’t like letting our customers down!

Yesterday we were out in Barnet carrying out a stairlift breakdown, and this morning we’re already back out in Luton for a stairlift removal.

Weekends, weekdays… whenever we can help, we’ll do our best to be there!

Another busy day at Herts Homelifts!

Today’s installation took us to , fitting another one of our popular Handicare Freecurve stairlifts.

Our customer chose to make the most of the free colour options available, with the rail finished in Light Grey and paired with a Bordeaux Red seat. We think it looks fantastic!

And we didn’t stop there… once the installation was complete, it was straight on to 4 breakdowns across , , and .

Another full day keeping our customers moving!

Kicking off the week with another Handicare curved stairlift installation. This time a twin rail 4000 model complete with powered swivel seat and power folding footrest.

This compact twin rail fits close to the wall to maximise space and boasts a 136kg weight capacity as standard. 160kg option also available.

This one was a little different!

We removed the existing radiator to make way for one of our brand-new Handicare Freecurve stairlifts, which has been bespoke made specifically for this customer's staircase.
