2021 has come to an end! It was an unpredictable & twisted year like this wonky carrots - but not everything is bad news; Chickee finally managed to expand to a commercial kitchen based in Wembley and we received 2 awards for our hummus just to mention some highlights of our year.
We have amazing plans for 2022 so let’s bring it on and let it be the best year ever!

A little fun fact on why Chickee makes pumpkin jam - When I (Mauro) was a child, I used to eat pumpkin jam with cheese for dessert, on a toast or with granola for breakfast. My grand mother used to make pumpkin jam every cold season. I love to remember the smell of cinnamon & cloves with pumpkin in the kitchen when she was making it and I’d always dip my finger in the pot and get a burn, but it was so worth it 😂🤤

“A fresh and interesting alternative to the standard hummous flavour. The veggies give this a subtle sweetness, which works so well with the earthy chickpeas and then the blast of basil herbaceousness gives this something special. I am so thrilled! Chickee just got 2 great taste awards! ⭐️

Chickee was created about a year ago and this morning I received this great surprise that left me in tears. A proof that hard work and dedication has led me to create the tastiest hummus!

Chickee is the only UK independent business to be awarded 2 great taste stars on a hummus - the Spinach & herbs hummus has been definitely our best creation for its taste and freshness and only thanks to all your feedback and support. 💚

Our black truffle also got awarded one star, as this being another of our own creation that you won’t find anywhere else is also very unique in flavour bringing a “smooth and luxurious” hummus to the market - Truly an honor to hear!
