It's nearly the longest day! This Sunday is the Summer Solstice (and also International Yoga Day). As usual, we'll be marking this occasion with a special sun-focused celebration and what better time to do it than at sun rise?!
As we witness the sun rising on the longest day, we will brighten our own inner-light through our practice as we deepen our connection to the sun, ourselves, others, nature and the seasons.
The yoga practice will incorporate mindful movement (with adaptations for beginners/ those new to the practice), pranayama (conscious breath-work), mudras (energetic locks/ gestures), stillness and reflection.
Afterwards, there will be time for connection to others through sangha (community), a shared breakfast and a sea swim if you're keen!
The sun draws us outwards and energises us- this is a session in which to honour this vibrancy and connect to our inner sun-that radiates, illuminates and drives us.
If you joined me last year, you'll know that gathering on the beach at sunrise in community, reverence and with a celebratory beach yoga practice is a beautiful and powerful way to mark this occasion ☀️✨
Come and stoke your inner fire to burn away the debris of what no longer needs to be carried forward and for increased resilience on the path ahead ☀️🔥
