💜 We enjoyed a lively arm exercise session at Drayton Village Care Centre this week, with plenty of colourful pom poms, favourite songs, and lots of encouragement along the way.

Our wonderful residents joined in at their own pace, stretching, moving, and having fun while listening to music chosen especially for them. Whether in a group or during one to one time, these sessions are always a lovely way to keep active and enjoy a good singalong too 🎶

There were plenty of smiles throughout the session, proving that a little movement and great music are a wonderful combination 😊

National Cheese Day gave us the perfect excuse to enjoy a proper British classic at Drayton Village Care Centre 🧀💜 We put out bowls of cheddar cheese and crackers, with a little dollop of pickle for anyone who fancied it.

Our wonderful residents always enjoy those familiar light bites that bring back memories of what they used to enjoy at home, so we often weave these little treats into our activities as a way to spark conversation and reminisce together.

It was a simple, relaxed moment shared over snacks and plenty of chat, and it went down really well with everyone.

Festa della Repubblica at Drayton Village Care Centre

To celebrate Italy’s National Holiday on 2nd June, we treated our residents to some delicious Italian sweets, including Panettone Loaf, Biscotti and Palmines, all enjoyed with a fresh cup of coffee ☕

It was lovely to see everyone trying something new and enjoying the flavours. Our resident Lynn said, “This was a lovely afternoon snack for me to try for the first time” 💜

💐 Kiera's "Baby in Bloom" Brunch 💐

At Drayton Village Care Centre , our wonderful activities team recently hosted a very special celebration in honour of our wonderful Activities Coordinator, Kiera, as she begins her maternity leave journey.

With our beautiful "Baby in Bloom" theme, our amazing residents enjoyed a delicious selection of brunch treats including pastries, bagels, sandwiches and Bloom cupcakes. The afternoon was filled with fun games, laughter and special moments shared together.

To make the occasion even more memorable, everyone received a handcrafted bouquet from our pop up florist stall, perfectly complementing the floral theme of the day. 🌸

It was a lovely opportunity for residents and staff to come together and celebrate Kiera before she starts this exciting new chapter.

From all the staff and residents at Drayton Village Care Centre , we would like to wish Kiera all the very best for the arrival of her little one. We look forward to meeting him and sharing in the joy of this wonderful new adventure. 💜👶✨

What better way to celebrate National BBQ Week than with Drayton Village Care Centre first BBQ of the summer? ☀️

Our wonderful activities team and chefs fired up the grill for an afternoon of tasty food and good company, with burgers, chicken sausages and plenty of vegetarian options for everyone to enjoy 🌭🍔

There was lots of chatting in the garden, second helpings all round, and plenty of excitement for the next one already 💜

A few of our wonderful residents at Drayton Village Care Centre enjoyed a lovely day out in Elmsleigh Shopping Centre last week, and safe to say, we definitely 'shopped until we dropped'!

After fuelling up with a cappuccino from Costa Coffee , it was off to the shops with stops at Matalan , Superdrug and Primark before sitting down for a well deserved lunch at Prezzo . Pizza, pasta, and burgers were all on the menu, and the team there looked after us so well !

Getting out and about in our local community is such an important part of life here, and days like this are always a favourite. A special mention to Joan, who summed the day up perfectly, saying, “Lovely trip with lovely food and even lovelier company” 💜

We could not let pass without saying a huge thank you to our wonderful nursing team here at Drayton Village Care Centre 💜

To celebrate, our incredible nurses were treated to personalised mugs, along with a few well deserved goodies including coffee, biscuits and chocolate to enjoy on their break. A small thank you for the kindness, care and dedication they show our residents each and every day 😊

We hope you all enjoyed your little treat, and know just how appreciated you are.

We had a wonderfully cheerful afternoon at Drayton Village Care Centre celebrating National Tea Party Day and National Flower Day ☕🌸

Our lovely residents enjoyed a traditional English tea with a delicious selection of cakes, including some beautifully crafted cupcakes from Crystal's Cupcakes which went down a treat 💜

To make the afternoon even more special, our activity team surprised the ladies with beautiful flowers in honour of National Flower Day. There were lots of smiles around the room and the thoughtful gesture meant so much to everyone 🌷

The Italian Open has arrived at Drayton Village Care Centre 🎾

We enjoyed a wonderful day of tennis, good food and plenty of laughs as our lovely residents got into the spirit of the Italian Open. The matches sparked lots of conversation, with everyone sharing their favourite players and cheering along together 💜

Our kitchen was full of delicious Italian flavours too, with homemade pasta, a selection of Italian meats including salami and mortadella, fresh mozzarella and of course a homemade tiramisu to finish 🍝

There were lots of happy faces around the table and more than a few requests for a second helping of dessert 😊
