What effect is listening to negative news 24/7 having on your wellbeing?

Our minds and bodies were never designed to process a constant stream of bad news.

Wars.
Financial worries.
Crime.
Illness.
Conflict.
Fear.

Day after day.

While it’s important to stay informed, there comes a point where constant exposure can leave us feeling anxious, overwhelmed and emotionally exhausted.

You may notice:
• Racing thoughts
• Poor sleep
• Feeling on edge
• Increased anxiety
• Difficulty switching off
• Feeling emotionally drained

Your nervous system doesn’t always distinguish between a threat happening in front of you and a threat you’re repeatedly witnessing through a screen.

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is switch the news off, step outside, connect with nature, spend time with people you love and bring your attention back to what is happening in your own life, right now.

Being informed is healthy.

Living in a constant state of fear isn’t.

Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is stop running from yourself.

For years I looked outside of myself for answers.

I tried to be who I thought I should be.
I worried what people thought.
I ignored my intuition.
I pushed through when I really needed rest.

Healing didn’t come from becoming someone else.

It came from understanding myself more deeply.

The fears.
The patterns.
The old stories.
The parts of me that needed compassion rather than criticism.

One thing I’ve learned is that anxiety doesn’t always look like anxiety.

Sometimes it shows up as overthinking.
Sometimes it’s feeling overwhelmed.
Sometimes it’s panic.
And sometimes it develops into fears and phobias that begin to limit life.

Fear of flying.
Fear of needles.
Fear of travel.
Fear of being trapped.
Fear of speaking up.
Fear of being seen.

That’s why the work I do today isn’t just about managing symptoms.

It’s about helping people reconnect with who they truly are beneath the anxiety, overwhelm, fears, phobias, self-doubt or feeling of being stuck.

Sometimes one conversation can be the beginning of a completely different chapter.

As the week comes to an end, I know many people will be looking forward to the weekend, while others may be feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, anxious or simply carrying more than they realise.

One of the things I love most about the work I do is helping people understand what’s really going on beneath the surface.

Have you ever walked into a room and immediately felt uncomfortable, drained or unsettled?

Or perhaps you’ve left a conversation feeling exhausted, even though nothing obvious was said.

We all carry experiences, emotions, stress and patterns within our energy field and nervous system. Over time, these can leave us feeling anxious, overwhelmed, exhausted, stuck, disconnected from ourselves, or simply not quite right.

We also move through different environments, situations and relationships every day. Sometimes we can carry stress, emotions or energetic heaviness that isn’t serving us. Healing can help release what no longer needs to be held and bring you back to a greater sense of calm, clarity and balance.

During an energy healing session, I create a calm, safe space for your mind and body to relax while working intuitively with your energy.

As the body begins to settle, many people notice warmth, tingling, waves of energy, heaviness, lightness, emotional release, or a deep sense of peace. Some people see colours or images, while others simply feel deeply relaxed.

Often, the biggest shifts are the quiet ones.

A busy mind becomes calmer.

A feeling of pressure lifts.

Anxiety softens.

The body relaxes.

You may gain clarity about a situation that has been weighing on you.

Sometimes emotions that have been held for years begin to gently release.

I often find that people reconnect with parts of themselves they have lost touch with, their confidence, intuition, inner wisdom and sense of who they truly are.

Healing is not about fixing you.

It is about supporting your body’s natural ability to heal and helping you return to a more balanced state physically, emotionally and energetically.

Some people feel a shift during the session. Others notice changes unfolding over the days and weeks that follow.

I’ve noticed something through my own experience, and through working with clients.

Sometimes what we call anxiety isn’t always anxiety.

Sometimes it’s the result of carrying too much for too long.

Being the strong one.
Keeping going when you’re tired.
Putting everyone else’s needs before your own.

After a while, the body starts to let you know.

You might feel on edge, exhausted, overwhelmed, struggle to switch off, or notice aches and pains that seem to come from nowhere.

I’ve learned that healing isn’t always about fixing yourself.

Sometimes it’s about slowing down long enough to listen to what your mind and body have been trying to tell you.

I’ve realised through my own experience that being seen can feel really uncomfortable.

It can bring up fears of judgement, getting it wrong, or what other people might think.

But if we keep hiding, we also hide our gifts, our voice and the things we’re here to do.

It’s something I see in many of the people I work with too. Anxiety, self-doubt and old fears can keep us playing small, even when part of us is longing to move forward.

That’s something I’ve been reflecting on a lot lately.
