'What's in the Box?' Today our residents were given a box with different objects inside and they had to try and work out what they thought the objects were. There were some very different ideas amongst the residents, proving that it can be very difficult to tell what something is by feel alone. It really got us thinking about how blind people cope every day.

Today, some of our residents hopped aboard the minibus for a wonderful morning trip to Trowbridge Garden Centre.

We had a look around and enjoyed some retail therapy browsing the bright indoor displays before heading out to look at the plants. The sight and smells of the beautiful plants brought back some fond memories. We had a lovely time reminiscing about our own gardens and chatting about favourite flowers.

We then headed into the cafe where we enjoyed fresh coffee, tea and some delicious homemade cakes.

Yesterday we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Dora our wonderful pet therapy dog and her owner Lisa.

Dora and Lisa spent time visiting our residents bringing so much joy, plenty of cuddles and lovely conversation to everyone. There is truly nothing quite like the comfort of a furry friend to brighten up the day and put smiles on everyone’s faces.

A huge thank you to Lisa and the adorable Dora for filling our home with so much love and warmth! ❤️🐶
