How did January last one thousand years but also fly by...how?

At the beginning of the month, I made my big announcement that Claude was sadly to close. I was looking forward to spending the month celebrating that by giving lots of time to running my closing sale and making sure all loose ends were tied neatly in a bow... defo didn't happen because January had other ideas, obvs....

So Claude is still closing, but there's a little more time to get in touch with me about sale items and fresh enquiries, we are aiming for end of Feb to be all wrapped up.... I was bowled over and so grateful for all your kind messages. I was particularly taken aback by how many of you wanted to get in touch to place orders for original Claude pieces and customised and bespoke orders as well as snapping up sale items ❤️.... thank you so much. I really really appreciate it, and I'm loving working on your orders.

You might have noticed that my website has now disappeared from the ether... but you can still email me or, of course, DM me with any enquiries...

Claude is closing ❤️

It is with some sadness that I have made the difficult decision to close the doors on my beautiful little business...

I have LOVED the past few years bringing this dream business of mine to life... it's been nothing but a pleasure from start to finish. I'm dead proud of myself.

I've met some amazing people in this industry, what a joy to collaborate with so many of you on styled shoots and the like.

And to my incredible customers, I will always be so grateful for the huge trust you placed in me to create special pieces for you to wear on your wedding day. Not to mention all the sequin flower crowns I've had the joy of making for all those festival lovers...I love to think of you all dancing in fields glittering in my sequin creations.... thank you ❤️

I have some beautiful sample pieces in immaculate condition, including hand-embroidered veils and bows, as well as sequin flower crowns and other accessories. I will be putting these pieces in a closing sale that will start on my stories, so keep your peepers peeled for more info on that tomorrow.

But for now...here's to fresh starts and new adventures 🥂

..What a truly wonderful client you are.

It was my absolute PLEASURE to create wedding accessories, working with her and her wonderful vision for a wedding to die for.

Sophie came to me with an idea for a veil and an embroidered headpiece to be worn separately at different times during the day. She wanted the veil to be a certain length and cut to a certain style to work perfectly with her, quite honestly, stunning Vivenne Westwood dress... We landed on a two-tier tulle veil, cut to a shape to maximise the perfect drape with a cascading quality. To finish, I suggested a little embroidery to tie in with the headpiece. A subtle detail that only a bespoke piece can give you♥️. Soft and beautiful with a hint of the traditional veil but with Sophies inimitable style at the heart of it.

The headpiece was a joy beyond joy to make. Sophie liked my embroidered halo crowns but wasn't keen on the height. I embroidered on e of my floral designs with the addition of some embroidery motifs personal to Sophie onto an ivory satin headband. It's a totally unique piece but really, really wearable... the dream accessory.

To say these images from Sophie and Kàri's wedding blew me away is an understatement! Such happy gorgeous images, and that Vivienne Westwood dress, the decor, the shoes... oh my!

Thank you, Sophie, for choosing to work with me in creating these one-of-a-kind pieces for your wedding day... it was the dream.

Hiya...

A few people have said to me they feel that September marks a change in their lives similar to the feeling of New Year, and do you know what, I'm feeling that too..

After a busy summer full of fun, family, friends, and frivolities, Claude had to take a back seat... The first thing to go was my social media presence and marketing... not totally ideal for an indy business with a staff of one BUT, the unintended break gave me food for thought.

I spent time thinking about what unique and beautiful designs I want to offer you rather than what music I was going to put on a reel that took half a day to make. I'll be keeping hold of some Claude favourites like the Tattoo Bow Veil, but there will be NEW totally wearable accessories for any occasion. Pieces that are unique, full of charm with one-of-a-kind embrodiery detail but won't break the bank.

I've been invigorated and inspired by getting back to basics, putting it simply, designing, and sewing..

Claude is gonna get a freshen up in the next few weeks, and I'm hoping you're gonna love it...
