✨ We often think we need more motivation.

More discipline.

More willpower.

But sometimes what we actually need is rest.

I’ve learned that my body usually gives me little warning signs long before I reach burnout or overwhelm.

Things like:

⚡ Feeling tired but unable to switch off
⚡ Everything suddenly feeling urgent
⚡ Becoming impatient or snappy
⚡ Reaching for my phone without thinking
⚡ Pushing through despite feeling exhausted

For years, I ignored those signs.

Now I try to see them for what they are:

Messages from my nervous system asking for recovery.

Not because I’m failing.

Not because I’m lazy.

But because I’m human.

The more aware we become of these signs, the easier it is to support ourselves before we hit a wall.

You can spend hours on the sofa and still not feel rested.

Why?

Because switching off and recovering aren’t always the same thing.

For years I thought rest meant doing less.

But I’ve learned that true recovery is anything that helps restore your energy, calm your nervous system and leave you feeling more like yourself.

For me that often looks like:

🌿 Walking in nature
📖 Reading
☕ A quiet cup of tea
💜 Meaningful connection
✨ Grounding and meditation

The question I find myself asking now is:

“Will this drain my battery or recharge it?”

Small shifts in awareness can make a huge difference.

This week we’re moving into our final pillar from Dr Rangan Chatterjee’s The 4 Pillar Plan:

And honestly?

I think this is the pillar many women struggle with most.

Not because we don’t want rest.

But because we’ve become so used to being busy, productive and responsible for everyone else that slowing down can feel uncomfortable.

Sometimes even guilty.

I’ve definitely been there.

For years I believed I had to keep pushing through.

Until my body eventually taught me that rest isn’t optional.

It’s essential.

This week we’ll be exploring:
🌿 rest
🌿 nervous system regulation
🌿 stress recovery
🌿 creating space to pause
🌿 why doing less can sometimes help us achieve more

Because wellbeing isn’t just about what you do.

It’s also about how well you recover.

It will allow space for you to view your life from the outside in, see the path you've been taking and the choices you have ahead of you.
Our inner intentions have the power to set our life.

This week we move into our next pillar:

🚶🏽‍♀️MOVE

And honestly, I think a lot of people have been conditioned to see movement only as something linked to weight loss or appearance.

But movement supports so much more than that.

🌿 Energy
🛡 Nervous system regulation
✨ Mood
💜 Mental wellbeing
🌙 Sleep
🔥 Stress management
🫀 Overall health

Especially when life feels overwhelming, movement can help us reconnect with the body instead of staying stuck in our head all day.

And the good news?

It doesn’t need to be extreme to make a difference.

A walk outside.
Stretching your body.
Moving stagnant energy.
Getting fresh air.
Creating small moments of movement throughout your day.

Because wellbeing is often shaped by the small things we return to consistently 🛡✨
