Caldbeck Surgery is on the lookout again for a dedicated Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our friendly rural practice team.

If you’re compassionate, motivated, and eager to support high quality patient care, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll work under the supervision of our Practice Nurses, supporting clinical care and helping deliver essential services. The role includes tasks such as venepuncture, blood pressure monitoring, wound care, ECGs, vaccinations, and health promotion.
The role is offered at 20 hours per week, 8am to 6.30pm,
Wednesday and Thursday with some flexibility for cover and extra hours.

What We’re Looking For
✔ Highly literate with strong written English
✔ Able to work independently and prioritise workload
✔ Experience in healthcare, ideally within the NHS
✔ Knowledge of GP clinical systems (EMIS Web preferred)
✔ Commitment to confidentiality and excellent patient care
✔ Willingness to learn and develop new clinical skills

We’re looking for an organised, friendly and proactive admin assistant to join our supportive GP practice to support our Practice Manager.
🕒 12–16 hours per week

📆 Flexible working (ideally over 3 days)

This varied role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping a team run smoothly, supporting admin, meetings, HR records, online presence and day‑to‑day organisation. You’ll play a key part behind the scenes in delivering great patient care.

✨ Experience in GP/NHS is helpful but not essential – we’re looking for the right person with a positive attitude, initiative, and good organisational skills.

With the Easter bank holiday approaching, please be aware that local pharmacies will have revised opening hours over the Easter weekend. We encourage patients to check opening times in advance and ensure they have enough medication to last through the holiday period.

🏥 Pharmacy Availability
Local pharmacies may operate reduced hours or be closed on bank holidays, but a number of designated pharmacies will remain open for urgent medication needs and health advice.
