Potatoe growing competition!!

Our very popular garden growing competition started in may...

Some of our service users have been thinking foward and have even started growing salad to go with their potatoes..

This hasnt quite gone to plan for them as the salad is now ready and the potatoes have just started sprouting.. but regardless its encouraged our service users to get up, out enjoy their gardens and watch and enjoy what they have / are producing.

We have visited the flying farmer and sunshine cafe so may times, we have tried the whole of their delightful munu.

We have also
Visited a robot and it served us (we named it Toby)
Visited sandhill garden centre
Went to kingswood shopping
Withernsea garden centre and cafe
Trips out with pets
Played games
Refreshed our garden pots
Pony brushing

Im not sure we could have squeezed anymore in for may!

Continue with spring.

We have our popular planting competition...potatoes! 🥔
Each service user has potatoe growing bag, potatoe seed, and compost, lets see who gets the biggest, funniest shape, the most amount from one seed..

Also this month we have
🎠Visited withernsea fair
🦉Bridlington wildlife park
🌊The lighthouse
Trips out for food, sunshine cafe, flying farmer, nutmeg, spotted duck, sandhills,

🌏Trip down memory lane, looking back on Google street view on how the areas our service users have grown up in have changed throughout the years.

We have also looked at farming history and had a visit from a restored vintage tractor 'furgie'
🚜 our service users have had regular updates on her restoration and enjoyed seeing her and meeting running.

March... spring time 💐

This month we have looked at all things spring 🥰

Nature walks. We have been out for walks/ trips out, looking at wild animals, how the trees and plants are growing and changing colours.

Will our little pony, has had a few visitors, looking at how he changes colour from winter- spring - summer, a good brush and taking him for walks

We have also taken trips to:
🐒Sowerby hall and gardens
🍛The local cafe's, actually cafe's galore!!! and our favourite garden centre.
🍟Flying farmer for fish and chips 😋
🗺Trip to hedon
🥙Spotted duck

We have enjoyed bird watching..some next boxes we have put up have birds going in and out, so lets hope for chick's 🤞
