This message from a client I’ve had the privilege of working with stopped me in my tracks and got me thinking about the importance of creating the secure base for the client, as well as the power of an integrated approach to therapy 🌿

The secure base begins with the therapist creating a space where you feel truly safe; no judgement, just you being heard exactly as you are. When a client feels genuinely safe, they can be truly vulnerable, and that vulnerability is where the real work, and the healing, begins.

Alongside that, I often use CBT based approaches to help clients develop a deeper understanding of the connection between their thoughts, feelings and behaviours. These aren’t just tools for the therapy room, they are practical skills my clients can use independently, which can be incredibly empowering.

If you’re wondering whether therapy might be right for you, feel free to get in touch for an initial chat 💬

I had this lovely little bit of feedback from a client recently 🌿 I work in an integrative way which brings together a number of therapeutic techniques and methodologies, always with the client front a centre, adapting in a way that I believe is best suited to the individual. Often with anxiety, I draw on CBT as it can be very effective in supporting the client to understand their thought processes, beliefs and behaviours. It’s empowering for the client to be able to spot patterns and cycles, and consciously make changes to how they choose to respond to them. Creating new neural pathways, enabling them to feel more in control and in a way becoming their own therapist 🌿

It meant a lot to me to receive this testimonial earlier this week ✨

Creating a space where clients feel safe, calm, and at ease is at the heart of everything I do. It’s the foundation that allows real, meaningful work to unfold.

Therapy isn’t ‘one size fits all’. Every person is unique, and every session should reflect that. Tailoring my approach to each individual is something I’m deeply committed to.

Having recently created some more space for my therapy business, I currently have a couple of openings for new clients on Thursdays and Fridays, both in-person and online options are available.

If you’ve been considering therapy and would like to have an initial chat about whether we might be a good fit, please feel free to reach out 🌿

With Men’s Mental Health Month in flow and International Men’s Day approaching, I’ve been reflecting on how important it is that we continue to create spaces where men feel safe to open up.

As a mum to two young boys, this work is deeply personal. I want them to grow up knowing that expressing their feelings isn’t weakness, it’s courage. That strength and softness can coexist. That asking for help is one of the bravest things you can do.

It warms my heart to see more men prioritising their mental health and more positive male role models advocating for emotional openness.

I received this testimonial recently from a client who took that brave first step, despite his nervousness about therapy. It’s a reminder of why this work matters so much.

Happy weekend all! 🌿

This touching testimonial landed in my inbox last night, receiving feedback like this reminds me why I love this work so much.

To be trusted with someone’s story and their struggles and getting to walk alongside them as they find clarity and understanding feels like such a privilege.

A nice note to mark the end of the week, happy Friday all! 🌿 ✨

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again … sustainable change requires work! Often the roots of our self defeating behaviours are deep within our subconscious, sat with our belief system, which has developed throughout life, influenced by our experiences and other people of significance, becoming second nature.
To let go of these things holding us back & no longer serving us, we must begin with really digging deep to uncover those roots, so that we can then work on letting them go. But it’s not a quick fix and requires commitment & patience. It’s a journey which isn’t always easy. However, once the process is underway & you start to feel the reward of positive change, it’s so worth it!
If you would like to explore how I might be able to help you achieve your goals please feel free to get in touch 🌿
