A huge thank you to everyone that came along to the BBQ today despite the weather. The team worked so hard to make it happen and as always Natasha kept us entertained singing a variety of favourite songs.
Delicious food thanks to Cheryl, Kira and Guy. Thanks also to Denise for stepping in to help out today.
The raffle was a great success with most people winning at least one prize. Thank you to everyone who donated or bought tickets.😀

We welcomed two adorable little guinea pigs in for some cuddles, smiles and gentle interaction with our residents. They were an absolute hit and certainly brought lots of joy, conversation and a few “awwws” along the way! 🥰💕

Animal visits can be such a lovely way to encourage connection, reminiscence and promote wellbeing.

Dominoes club this morning followed by a lovely afternoon of colouring with Christine, and box-fit with Zara 🎨❤️

Mary was absolutely glowing in red today and was very proud to show us her beautiful nails too! 💅✨ We also enjoyed a visit from our local library 📚

We’re incredibly proud of our manager, Andrina, who is taking on a Memory Walk in support of Alzheimer’s Society 💙

Alzheimer’s Society provides vital support to people living with dementia and their families, as well as funding research and campaigning for change - a cause that means so much to all of us here at Wild Acres.

Andrina has set up a fundraiser alongside her walk, and any donations, big or small, would be hugely appreciated. 💙

We’ll all be cheering you on, Andrina! 👏🥾

We enjoyed some one-to-one activities, completing a puzzle together. 🧩💛

Meaningful activities can look different for every person, recognising each resident’s individual interests, abilities and preferences, and adapting activities so that everyone has the opportunity to take part in a way that feels comfortable and achievable for them.

Sometimes it’s the quieter, one-to-one moments that can be just as meaningful as our larger group activities. 🧩🤍
