Healing your inner child isn’t about “fixing” who you are … it’s about finally giving yourself what you needed but didn’t receive.

Therapy can help you reconnect with those younger parts of yourself .. the ones that felt unheard, unseen, or unsafe. And when you start listening to them with compassion instead of judgment, something powerful happens.

You begin to:
✨ Respond instead of react
✨ Set boundaries without guilt
✨ Feel your emotions without being overwhelmed
✨ Build a sense of safety within yourself

Inner child work is not always easy. It asks you to sit with discomfort, revisit old wounds, and unlearn survival patterns that once protected you. But it also opens the door to deeper self-trust, healthier relationships, and genuine peace.

You deserve to feel whole, healing isn’t about becoming someone new, it’s about coming home to yourself 🤍💜

Therapy isn’t just talking … it’s healing in ways you don’t always expect. 💜

It’s celebrating the small wins that once felt impossible.
It’s giving yourself permission to dream again despite the pain.
It’s sitting in silence when words feel too heavy.
It’s releasing emotions you’ve held in for far too long.
It’s finding moments of laughter again.
And most importantly, it’s reconnecting with the version of you that life tried to quiet.

Healing isn’t straight forward, and it doesn’t have to be loud to be real. Every step forward, no matter how small matters.

You deserve that space. You deserve that growth. You deserve that peace. 💜

Mother’s Day can be beautiful for many, but it can also be incredibly hard for others.

For those who have lost a baby.
For those trying to become mothers.
For those grieving a mother who is no longer here.
For those navigating complicated or painful relationships with their mothers.

Today isn’t joyful for everyone, and that’s okay.

If today feels heavy, please know you’re not alone. Your feelings are valid, and your experience matters too. Sending extra gentleness to anyone finding today difficult. 💜

When everything feels “too much,” it’s easy to freeze or shut down.

CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) helps you break big, overwhelming tasks into manageable steps and change the thoughts that fuel the stress.

💜 Identify unhelpful thoughts like “I’ll never get this done.”
💜 Challenge them with realistic ones: “I can start with one small step.”
💜 Plan using simple, doable actions instead of all-or-nothing thinking.
💜 Reinforce progress, not perfection.

You don’t need to do everything, just the next thing

We all worry, that’s normal, but when it turns into constant “what ifs,” it drains our energy.

CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) helps you break that cycle by teaching you to:
💜 Notice your worry triggers and thought patterns.
💜 Challenge unrealistic or catastrophic thinking.
💜 Refocus on what’s actually within your control.
💜 Practice calming techniques to quiet the mind

People-pleasing often comes from beliefs like “I must keep everyone happy” or “Saying no is selfish.”

CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) helps you retrain your thoughts and behaviours so you can set healthy boundaries without guilt.

💜 Awareness: Notice the automatic thoughts that drive you to say “yes” when you don’t want to.
💜 Challenge: Question if those thoughts are really true.
💜 Practice: Learn assertiveness skills and test saying “no” in small ways where you feel there are no consequences
💜 Reshape Beliefs: Replace “I’m only liked if I help” with “I’m worthy even when I set boundaries.”
💜 Self-Compassion: Be as kind to yourself as you are to others.

Let’s switch it up … guilt for balance & people-pleasing for peace. 💜

So many of us were taught to put everyone else’s needs before our own.

To keep saying “yes,” even when we’re overwhelmed.
To keep showing up for others — even when we’re running on empty.

But here’s the truth:
💜 You can’t pour from an empty cup.
💜 Your needs matter just as much as everyone else’s.
💜 Taking care of your mental health helps everyone around you.

Setting boundaries, saying no, resting without guilt — these are all acts of self-respect, not weakness.

Therapy can help you:

💜 Learn to recognise when you’re stretched too thin
💜 Build healthy boundaries that protect your energy
💜 Feel confident putting your wellbeing first — without the guilt

You deserve to take up space in your own life. 🖤💜

I genuinely love what I do. Being a counsellor isn’t just my job — it’s a huge part of who I am. It’s something that’s shaped my heart, my outlook, and the way I connect with people every single day & what a journey it’s been!

When younger clients walk in with a big smile and genuine excitement to see me, it reminds me how important it is to be a safe, consistent adult in someone’s world. It’s a privilege to be that person — to be trusted, to be seen as a source of comfort and understanding for children outside of their immediate family.

Holding space for people’s most personal stories is something I never take lightly. Every time someone allows me into the depths of their experience and feelings, I feel that trust deeply. It’s amazing to sit beside someone as they share the parts of their life that they may have never shared before.

Then there are the messages — the ones that pop up on random days. “I did it!” “You’d be proud of me!” “I used the technique we talked about.” Those small updates outside of the therapy room are everything. It shows that the work doesn’t just stay within our sessions — it lives on, grows, and strengthens in the real world.

I do think about my clients — I remember the anniversaries of their loved ones, the dates of funerals, or big life events. Sometimes I find myself wondering how they’re doing long after our sessions have ended. I think that’s normal, counselling isn’t about detaching from emotion — it’s about feeling deeply with someone while helping them carry it.

There are times when I feel sad for what my clients have been through — when their pain touches my own heart — and there are times when I feel an overwhelming sense of pride watching how far they’ve come. The courage, the growth, the resilience — it’s incredible to witness. And yes, sometimes that connection comes with tears, laughter, and the occasional hug, because sometimes words just aren’t enough.

Counselling, to me, is so much more than a career. It’s a calling. It’s part of my character. It’s how I show up in the world — with empathy, curiosity, and an open heart. 💜

Burnout shows up quietly ….

You stop caring about things that used to matter.

You feel numb, irritable, or just done.

You tell yourself to “keep going” — but your mind and body are asking you to slow down.

Therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and heal. To remember that your worth isn’t tied to productivity — and rest isn’t a luxury, it’s essential 💜💜💜

Protecting your peace isn’t selfish — it’s sacred.

Sometimes the most powerful move you can make is simply stepping back.

You don’t owe anyone access to your energy, especially when it costs you your calm 👏🏼💜
