What! A didgeridoo sound bath 😃
Anything can happen at Bransford Community Farm 😆

This week we relaxed in the sunshine ☀️ listening to deep sounds, we walked across the farm fields 🌿and said hello to the baby chicks 🐥
We spring-cleaned the pods for summer seating 🛋️ and worked on our ‘emotions’ art project for the summer exhibition 🖼️
With a tasty lunch of chilli beans to keep us going — it was another perfect day 🥰❤️🎈

The answers say it all.

Every Wednesday, adults with learning disabilities come together to get active, make friends, build confidence and have fun. Whether it’s badminton, cricket, rugby, archery, tennis or something completely new, there’s always something to enjoy.

Being active helps keep our bodies healthy, but it’s also great for confidence, mental wellbeing and friendships.

A sneak preview of something we are working on for our Summer Art Exhibition and the performance of Elgar at the Asylum…
We are creating original artwork with the guidance of Kim Piffy - and it was a lot of fun 🤩

We are also celebrating 3 years of happy marriage for the wonderful couple, Megan and Tim. Thank you for such a splendid cake Harry 🎂🎉

Our Summer Art Exhibition will be open to the public in The Foyer at Henry Sandon Hall at Royal Porcelain Works from 22 July — 21 August.

The performances of ‘Elgar at the Asylum’ will take place at Malvern Theatres on Saturday 26 September and Sunday 27 September.

We are now officially prepared for almost anything… 😄

Our Monday Night Club volunteers have been learning all sorts of lifesaving skills this week with First Response Training — including CPR, using an AED, treating burns and scalds, helping someone who is choking and enough bandages to open our own mini field hospital…

There was lots of laughter alongside the learning, but also a real sense of confidence growing through the day. Knowing what to do in an emergency could make such a difference one day.

A huge thank you to Jon for making the course so enjoyable, practical and accessible for everybody. He was brilliant.

We’re now feeling much more confident that if something serious happened, we could step forward and help. 🚑

Another perfect Saturday at Bransford Community Farm ☀️🐝🏏

We tried on our new bee-keeper suits, played badminton and cricket, and enjoyed a listening walk around the farm — taking time to notice birdsong, buzzing insects and the sounds of nature all around us.

Prince proved himself to be an excellent fielder too — if Worcestershire County Cricket Club are looking for a new player, we know just the dog! 🐶🏏

Lunch was absolutely delicious — Kathy’s broccoli salad, free-range eggs from the farm chickens and Helen’s Irish farmhouse bread.

We also made a birthday banner and cards for Brenda 🎉 and continued exploring our emotions through art with Charlotte (name it to tame it).

Not a bad way to spend a Saturday… sunshine, cricket, chickens, creativity, homemade bread and a dog taking his fielding duties far too seriously 🐶 😄
