Have you ever wondered what neurodiversity mentoring involves?
Perhaps you've thought about accessing support but aren't quite sure what to expect. Or maybe you've spent years trying to find ways to manage everyday life and feel that you should be able to figure it all out yourself.
First of all, you don't have to have all the answers before asking for support.
At The NeuroCompass Worcester, my approach is about working with your brain, rather than against it. Neurodiversity mentoring is a space to explore what you find challenging, recognise your strengths and discover practical strategies that work for YOU.
✨ So, what might we work on together?
🧠 Understanding yourself
Exploring your strengths, challenges and how your brain works, without judgement or pressure to change who you are.
📅 Planning and organisation
Finding ways to manage your time, prioritise tasks, remember appointments and make overwhelming to-do lists feel more manageable.
🚀 Getting started and following through
Exploring what makes tasks difficult to begin and finding strategies to help you take that first step.
🔋 Managing energy and overwhelm
Understanding your energy levels, recognising what drains you and finding ways to make everyday life more sustainable.
💻 Finding the right tools
Exploring apps, assistive technology, visual reminders and other practical tools that might make life easier.
💬 Building confidence and self-advocacy
Understanding your needs, communicating them to others and exploring reasonable adjustments that could help at work or in education.
You don't need a formal diagnosis to explore support, and you don't need to arrive with a list of goals or know exactly where to start.
Sometimes, the first step is simply talking through what's feeling difficult and working out what might help.
My role isn't to tell you how you should be doing things. It's to support you to find approaches that work for your life, your needs and your brain.
